This place does high level typical Mexican food. No weird fusion type cuisine. Service is impecable and the place feels old, but that is how it should feel. Live music that does not feel intrusive. Good for talking business or having a special meal. A bit on the expensive side, but nothing scandalous.

One of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City! A hacienda with a couple of centuries on its resumè, beautiful grounds and a colonial ambience within the restaurant. My utmost fave dish is the Chile en Nogada, sweet and chilled served during August-September to commemorate national independence. It's a must-go place if you want to savor Mexican cuisine at it's best.

The first thing that strikes you as you approach the restaurant's driveway is the sheer size of the place. As it turns out, part of the complex dates back 400 years to the mid 17th century. Ambiance is important, but food is more so. The Hacienda has an extensive menu offering Mexican fine cuisine. With an extensive wine list and... More

The place is beautiful and very well mantenined. Is a classic for enjoy mexican food in a traditional Mexican Ex Hacienda. Good for family or business lunch or dinner. Just steps from Masaryk avenue where you can enjoy a walk in Polanco with many restaurant, coffe shops, upscale stores, parks etc.

The setting of this restaurant is spectacular as it is and old hacienda of the XVI century very well preserved with typical Mexican decoration. Food is very good (but in my opinion a bit short of exceptional) and the service is very attentive but slow. Overall a recommended place to eat Mexican food in an unique setting

The place is located in the old hacienda with beautiful garden. The restaurant is well maintained. It is good to have a family lunch or dinner, because the place is very spacious. They have daily special like a cordero which you cannot easily find in most of Mexican restaurants here. Go for Mexican food here. Once I ordered Lasana but... More

We went for lunch on Sunday and it was the best choice ever! It was very family friendly and the local dishes fantastic. We had the opportunity to taste real Mexican cuisine at this place. Desserts are not the exception. Las islas flotantes are to die for!

This amazing place is beautiful and very very big. It was a farmer house in the past. I had a wonderful time there, drinking a coffe with apple pie in the very big entrance lounge, with flowers everywhere, with a big "fontana" in the center and a very good service. Also, there is a huge restaurant where you can eat... More

The place is an old ranch (Hacienda) converted into a restaurant. Everything has been adapted and at the same time kept as it was in the past. The food is amazing, typical Mexican high quality food. All the plates were very well prepared and the dessert cart is huge... it is hard to choose. In fact, My suggestion is to... More

Description
During colonial times la Hacienda de los Morales was located on the outskirts of Mexico City, but today it is within its confines, only a short distance from the exclusive hotels, museums and shops of Polanco. This stately mansion, a recipient of numerous awards including the 5 Diamond and the Dirona Awards, and the Executive Chef Alejandro Heredia Resendiz named Mexican Chef of the 20th Century by the Cullinary Academy of France, transports visitors to another era in a refined atmosphere where the hospitality and service make every moment a memorable one. In addition to the international menu with Mexican specialties, there are several Gastronomic Festivals each year with the participation of such outstanding establishments as I Chiostri di Firenze, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, The Lobster Festival Puerto Nuevo Style, and Il Milanese Curioso. This formal restaurant is open except Easter week and official Holidays. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie after 6:00 pm.
