I always have dinner with friends and family at this restaurant while visiting Coyoacan. The athmosphere is family oriented and cozy. The menu is very authentic Mexican (not tex-mex it all) and the food is very good and prepared with care. Try your food wih a mezcal or wirh a very refreshing colimita beer. I did not give 5 stars... We went to this place since we had tried the one in Oaxaca. The major difference was the staff. Here the service was awful, very very sloooooooooooooooow then they tried to tell us that it was because that everything is fresh and made at the moment. Well we ordered sodas and a straw that took more than 10 minutes to... More

MY FAVORITE!! Just EXCELLENT!!Superb dishes that are very well presented and the coconut margaritas are my favorite!! A very nice atmosphere with a view of a beautiful park!! I'll defiantly come here again since it's a 15 minute walk from the Frida Kahlo museum which is worth visiting again.

This place was recommended by our private tour guide. It was amazing!! The black bean soup was outstanding and velvety smooth and the filet with black mole was exquisite. Ask for the server Alexis, he truly made the meal special.

One of the best meals we had on Mexico was the chiles here. So light and good and the view on the Plaza is very nice.

If you want to enjoy fine Mexican food from Oaxaca, this place is the one! Good service, nice and exotic cocktails made with good quality alcohol, also very good location of the restaurant. I definitely recommend it!

This place sits on one side of the main square in Coyoacan, if you sit on the terrace you will have a great view of all the local life! Los Danzantes prides themselves on growing their own herbs, use local produce and provide genuine mexican flavours. In truth, the menu sounds better than what's delivered. The fish served was overcooked... More

Founded in March 1995, Restaurant Los Danzantes is a study in contrasts: a warm colonial building constructed with volcanic stones and natural nopales surrounding it; a delightful bar carved by Joel Rendon and traditional tones of Mexican music set to a modern rhythm; and, of course, a menu that features regional ingredients shining out in fresh, innovative combinations and fusion cooking.

Neighborhood Profile
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
