It is located near el Zócalo, you can actually walk there. The place is really neat and during the night you may even get the chance to enjoy some mariachis. We had tacos, stuffed chilis and the house cocktail. Everything was delicious and the price...More

Cafe de Tacuba is one of those restaurants you visit to see and experience. The decor is very old-fashioned, as though it was decorated a few centuries ago by the chief interior decorator of the Catholic Church. It's very popular and you might need to...More

Café Tacuba has been an institution in Mexico City for decades. The places is always crowded and the mariachis make sure to create a constant buzzing vibe. A lot of locals go here. Food is good, but not as breathtaking as the place itself.

Food was very tasty. Appetizer, soup, main dish, dessert and coffee. It is within walking distance from the Zocalo, maybe 20'. Service was good. I had the chicken mole with rice and was delicious.

I think they perform at night, the best thing to do is to call the restaurant and ask.

Either you'll have to be very very lucky to find a table by the windows, or you'll have to handsomely, and/or very discretely, "tip" the folks at the hosting station. Good luck!
