We went two times in our stay to this restaurant. Tasteful decoration, good service and some outstanding dishes. It is worth it¨s money and I think we will come back at one of our next visits to Guadalajara. They have valet parking, so you can go by car without the problem to find a parking space.

Went there with some colleagues from Mexico. Very nice dining hall. Friendly waiters took our orders. We tried some different specialties. All tasted good. The portion sizes are quite large. Not so much recommended for vegetarians. We tried a special beer with Maggi. Not really my favorite.

This is a great restaurant! The staff was so helpful and nice! After our meal, they helped us get a taxi. We had dinner and during dinner time there was a piano player playing music. For an appetizer I got the queso fresco with strawberry aioli with rose petals. For my main entree I got a top sirloin, which was... More

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant with tacos rice and beans. If you're looking for that go to La Chata. This cuisine is definitely gourmet. It was delicious especially the robalo (bass) and the chili enojados. Stuffed chili poblano with meat covered with walnut sauce). Given the strength of the dollar we found the prices to be reasonable. The... More

El Sacromonte is a really beautiful restaurant that offers authentic regional dishes. The prices are affordable and well put together. I ordered a steak that was superb which ran about $200 pesos (about $12). I don't recall anything above this price point. Our hotel is in the center of town and it took about 10 mins to get to the... Our hotel manager at Villa Ganz recommended El Sacromonte for dinner, and we are very glad that he did. For food this good, it was amazing to us that the restaurant was mainly empty when we arrived at 8:00 pm on a Friday night, and remained slow throughout our meal. There was a really fine jazz pianist playing for the... More

Accidental find ten years ago after visiting Guadalajara for forty years. Hands down our favorite restaurant. The bullfighting decor reminds one of Méxican culture of the thirties and forties. From César the chef, Gina the hostess, Francisco our favorite waiter, and Gerado the owner, they treat us like family. The menu is exquisite, and recalls that of bygone times (eg... More

The food and service were good, tho for some reason our party of 4 gay men was seated in a separate room, and we were given menus without prices indicated.

The space was beautiful -- a touch of old Mexico. After being seated, we waited a long time to be acknowledged and offered water or a drink, although lots of waiters were standing around. Apparently the waiter assigned to our table was out on break. The smoke detector above us beeped at annoying intervals. When our waiter finally arrived, we asked... More

Very nice traditional Mexican restaurant. Had the Pollo de moll and tequila, which tasted wonderful. Great recommendation.
