My partner & our friends had an 8pm reservation on Sunday @ 8pm. We were seated promptly as it was busy & we were very excited about dinner as the energy was great. Then it was an epic fail! Our waiter told us they were...out of ANY filets. How does that happen at a steakhouse? We left and were very disappointed. Seriously how does this happen.More

We were a party of four women this evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to La Matera. The menu ans wins list was incredible. The hearts of palm salad was delicious. Even the complimentary bread, beans and pesto were to die for The Eggplant parmigiana...was the best I have ever tasted. We ordered a large steak for four people. It was cooked to perfection and very delicious. The service was impeccable and the ambiance and location of the restaurant was so comfortable. The prices were very fair. This restaurant is fantastic.More

Decent food and good service In my opinion, La Matera is not the best steak house in GDL but it is a really good place if you suddenly crave for some steaks and want something not too fancy or 3hours dinner. We ordered a ribeye...cut , 2 empanadas (very tasty), a chorizo (average) and some salad and leaving satisfied. Definitely will come back.More

Very busy place, seated quickly. Took a while before we were asked for drinks, many different wait staff for our table. Steak ordered medium rare was completely uncooked inside, salad was overdressed. Pork dish was okay and sweet potato side was very good. Smoke from...smoking area in the non smoking areas.More

My local colleagues brought here for a Friday dinner (after a long week of work and jetlag). The steak was one of the best I ever had. House wine was excellent. Good outdoor seats. Simply NICE! (Sounds like you better make reservation for peak hours)

The service and prices were quite good. The steak was somewhat chewy. The music was thumpy and too loud and cigarette smoke drifted into the non smoking area through open windows from the patio. Won’t go back.

Went for business to La Matera and liked it very much. The vacío was really good, arrachera and rib eye were soft, tender, really eatable (were a big party). Recommend the provoleta, the salad that come with the steak and the empanadas recommendable as well....For dessert try the flan and the alfajor. Service very good.More

Asked for 2 wines and none of them were available so we decided to go for 2 beers. I when getting the bill there appeared a bottle of wine we never asked for. Food is pricy for the quality.

This is a great restaurant. Service was excellent. Wine list for reds was very good, whites not so much. Started with arugula and palm hearts salads plus empanadas - really tasty! Then the salmon was outstanding - so flavorful. Spinach with a cream sauce was...superb. Dessert of apple torte and flan was good. Highly recommended!!!More

Best cuts in GDL. Always cooked and seasoned to perfection. Absolute delight. Friendly atmosphere, great customer service. Above and beyond any other Argentinian steak house in the city.

We read good reviews on this place, close to our hotel, but when we arrived, they didn't have the wine we ordered. They substituted one that was similar they said, however it wasn't cold. So they tried to chill it in a bucket of water...and ice at our table, not so succesfully. Then they were out of the sea bass that we order. We settled on 300 gram filet and 800 gram ribeye, but when the steaks arrived, they were the same size and not cooked med rare. We sent them back and they came back cooked ok, however, why were the steaks the same size? They obviously didn't give us what we ordered or charge us for what we ordered. Argentinean steakhouse that was just ok.More

It is a nice restaurant, prices are adequate and the meats are great. I ordered the raviolis, they weren’t amazing but the order is quite large.

Hi Rebeca! Thanks for write us your experience.

The food at this place was average at best. I asked for at least three things on the menu only to find they were out of them. Service was very friendly. But the thing that sunk the place was that they openly let people smoke...in the non-smoking areas. Maybe, as Argentinians, they disagree with the protections the state of Jalisco has set up to prevent cancer and other fatal illnesses (specifically "La Ley contra la Exposición al Humo de Tobago para el Estado de Jalisco"). But they shouldn't expose other guests to this toxicity. I complained about this, and they told me it was management's policy to allow it. This is especially disturbing given the number of small children who are brought to this restaurant with their families. Yuck. Makes the already-average food taste terrible too.More

Hi! It is very variable, it depends a lot on the bottle of wine you prefer, the cuts are around 400 to 700 pesos for 2 people and includes 1 garnish
