Homemade pasta, Sea Bass doesn't get any better. Sabrina owner/hostess is a "hoot". Always outside greeting the tourists whether they stop in or not. Outside dining, off the main street is a welcomed addition. Two items: the bread is usually stale and there is NO Italian bread to be found on the premises!. Chef/owner says no substitutions. Example: cannot order... More

My husband and I went on the recommendation of some other tourists in our building and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service. I had the grilled fish of the day which the waiter said was Dorada (bream). It was cooked perfectly and presented on a bed of sauted red & yellow peppers & onion which were described as sweet... We've been to Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo about 5 times before, but have never been to La Vita 'e Bella. After hearing about it from others at the condo where we are staying, we decided to go there last night for my birthday dinner. The setting is really nice, the service was great and the food was wonderful !!! Three of us had... More

This is a charming restaurant with outdoor seating, lovely food, terrific service and the most welcoming hostess in all of Mexico.

From the welcome from the hostess to the last sip of our cappuccino, this was a wonderful dinner. The pasta was made fresh, the ingredients worked well and the overall experience was both relaxing and fulfilling. A definite go to spot if you are looking for a taste of Italy. We will be back!

The pasta is anything but fresh; the pesto sauce is old and oily and does not taste like basil. The stuffing in the ravioli is not much and it's tasteless. And when you finish you have to wait at least 40 minutes for the bill. Don't eat here!

All were right the food was simply amazing the service fast and friendly and price was unbelievable( $30. for full dinner for two including drinks, soup and appetizer) The owner Sabrina was Italian and brought all her cooking skills to Mexico. I recommend anyone visiting Ixtapa or Zihautanejo eat at... More

We had a lovely dinner here, sitting outdoors in the warm evening air. Delicious pasta, and a decent salad, husband had a caprese salad which featured thick slices of tomato and mozzarella, and we shared a tiramisu for dessert along with real espresso. While the food was not up to Italy- which we have experienced many times- it was very... More

One of the best in Zih and easy to locate. Reasonably priced- great food and good service- about all you could ask for. Only negative is as usual for Zih - lack of wine.

Get an enthusiastic greeting and enjoy indoor or outdoor seating. As a local this is one of my favorites and I can't seem to tear myself away from the delightful simplicity of their home made lasagna stuffed with ricotta cheese and cooked to the definition of al dente covered with a simple pomodoro sauce. We regularly call to pick up... More
