This was a recommendation from our accommodation hostess and we were not disappointed. We were a party of 4 adults and two youngsters and the restaurant was very accommodating to the needs of children. The restaurant is situated above the street of Nicolas bravo - nice view. Servers were attentive and spoke English well. Our meals were all terrific -... More

Staff and place were fine though if you can't do stairs don't go. There were 3 of us and let's just say they need to really be honest with themselves about cooking and presenting dishes that are not traditional Mexican. You can't just get it half right.

El Agave is located in downtown Zihuatanejo. It is upstairs with a fun view of local activity. The food is outstanding. The Veracruz style fish prepared in a flavorful fumet is delicious. The salads are fresh with harmonious ingredients. My favorite is the oaxaca cheese and mashed potato-stuffed chile relleno. The chile is prepared to perfection without a heavy batter... More

Four of us ate at El Agave in the center of Zihuatanejo. The restaurant is located upstairs so you have to look for it. But it is worthwhile making the effort. The food is delicious -- very fresh and beautifully prepared. We started with fresh salads, and followed with fish prepared in VeraCruz style, and chille rellenos. The food was... More

We spent our last evening here , tucked above the street , a gently lit a quiet spot to enjoy . The staff were very friendly and informed their English was excellent . They had a new chef and the food was perfect and very reasonably priced . The Mahi Mahi was delicious, my shrimp cocktail was dressed in their... More

This is a quiet second floor restaurant. Very unassuming until you go upstairs. The tables are very well appointed. The menu offers pasta, seafood, and some steak selections. Each meal includes some freshly sliced warm bread with a mixed butter cup which we couldn't get enough! We had the Pasta with Scampi and the Shrimp with garlic sauce. Large shrimp... More

Located up above the street level; nice terrace restaurant. Upscale restaurant without upscale prices. We started with the Casa salad; spinach, sliced Apple, tomato, and goat cheese (70 peso) with a light vinegrate. We got the chicken mole (110 peso); two moist chicken breast with a deep dark traditional mole with rice and beans. They happily did a mixto of... More

Did not disappoint! Fish of the day was mahi mahi and it was not over cooked. Delicious white wine sauce paired with my fish. I also got their house salad and it tasted so fresh! Hubby got rib eye steak and he loved it. They also gave me a scoop of rice to go with my fish. But it had... More

We dined here with another couple. The restaurant is on the second floor and overlooks the street. It is beautifully decorated. We had salads to start our meal and they were delicious. A lot better than most other salads in Zihua. We had the Chile rellanos, stuffed shrimp and fish filet. Everything was delicious. For dessert we had a mango... More
