My wife the potato addict met her ultimate goal here and refuses to leave zihuatanejo. Very nice can't say enough must come and try it. Cabs are very reasonable too.

Get there early......this little jewel often has a waiting line after 7:00 PM. If you love potatoes you can't help but love their menu....cheap, filling, flavorful and above all friendly!

Its nothing fancy/not a great atmosphere, but each time we visit Zihuatenejo we come here for the potatoes...think twice baked potatoes only better with things like meat and pineapple in them. We went twice this trip. We are usually the only tourists. I just wish they opened a bit earlier. They open around 6pm, but dont really get in full... More

Papa Loca is amazing! I absolutely love the atmosphere and location of the restaurant- giving you the local town vibe verses a fancy dinner! Love that you are able to sit and watch the cook, who is amazing at what he does- seriously watch him, cook all the food in front of you! It was an easy walk to for... More

La Papa Loca is a favorite of ours and most people we meet in Zihua! True local fair served open air on the street corner or inside. The stuffed potatoes are incredibly delicious and big enough to share. The vast variety of tacos, both corn and flour tortillas, are equally as good. Ice cold Cervesa to wash them down. This... An acquaintance keep telling us about this place, and that we just had to try it. So we went one evening and ordered the specialty of the backed potatoes with the various toppings. The cerveza is cold, the food good and filling, and the price is right. We returned another day for breakfast, and they had a very good breakfast... More

If you love baked potatoes then this is the place for you. The potatoes are enormous and stuffed with meat, cheeses and pineapple and are so delicious. The tacos are also excellent. It is located on a busy street so it's noisy and hot, but it's so good and such a great value it worth it. You won't leave hungry... More

A lot of places claim to be for the "locals" but this place actually is where they eat. The name means "crazy potato" in English and that is their speciality. Huge baked potato's filled with buttter, sour cream, cheese and then a variety of meats. Their tacos al pastor and pico de gallo are the best I've ever tasted. Nothing on the menu is more than $50 peso's or about $4usd. Very popular spot with the locals and tourist's that want to experience authentic Mexican food..
