Our favorite part of the class was the market tour. Monica took us on a 90 minute walk to and through the market. It was great because we went back the next day to pick out seafood, fruit and veggies for our own cooking. This felt very comfortable. We did not get to select the class as we called less... More

My sister and I took Monica's cooking class after emailing her when we got to Zihuatanejo. Luckily we got a space in the following week. There were 16 in the class and we made red and green salsas, chiliquiles, enchiladas and tortilla soup. Fantastic. Also there was agua de Jamaica (hibiscus water) to drink...absolutely delicious. Monica was a great teacher... More

My husband and I took the fish cooking class on Feb. 22 which included a trip to the market to purchase the fish. Monica is a really great teacher and host! As we walked from her house to the farmer's market, she stopped along the way at several shops and and other points of interest, to educate us about various... More

Four of us did a cooking class with Monica and had such a good time. We learned some things we did not know about preparing peppers and we were all treated to a wonderful lunch that we had helped prepare. I will certainly plan to do another class here next time in Zihua!

Had a wonderful experience here at Monica's cooking class. Learned however, one needs to book at least 3 weeks in advance for this class. Was lucky to get in last minute for this. I am going to book in for another class before I return next year.

Took classes from Monica this year and last year. Use her sauce recipes whenever making enchiladas. Like green sauce the best. Loved Chile Rellenos class this year. Can't wait to make them at home.

My husband and I took one of Monica's cooking classes on how to make chilli rellenos. We totally enjoyed the experience. The five different kind of rellenos that we made were super tasty. Muchas Gracias Monica!!! We again signed up for a class next week on how to make tamales. Can't wait :)

As a Holiday gift we recieved two spots at the chile renos class. We spent three lovely hours learning to make 5 different kinds of chills and learning the history behind each. Our hosts were very gracious, the other guest were great company and the lunch (that we helped prepare) was delicious.

It was the highlight day for the whole family! We enjoyed chatting with others at our table while using the molcajete. The work is hard, but so rewarding. We had margaritas using a recipe that Monica uses. Strong and so good. The food we got to eat at the end was delicious! We kept thinking, we made this molé! And... More

We did the cooking class with Monica last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Her English is fantastic, she is welcoming and quite knowledgeable. Definitely worth the money to learn how to cook traditional Mexican items. Put it on your to-do list while in Zihua.
