This is by far our favorite place for dinner. Anything chicken or sea food recommended. Steaks, not so much. Ask for Augustin, you won't regret it.

This is a very good seafood restaurant, right across from the bay in the center of the tourist area. The decor is a little more formal than most of the surrounding places, but don't let that put you off. The staff was attentive and the seafood was very good. My wife had mahi-mahi and I had a red snapper special... More

We have visited this establishment for over 12 years. It is the perfect spot to stop by and have a cocktail. Arturo who tends the bar is amazing. The first time we walked in for a cocktail he introduced himself and asked ‘what is your name.” A few days later we walked in and he greeted us by name. An... More

When in Zihua, this is our watering hole. Arturo is the best bartender ever. He remembers us from previous visits- like a year ago; he remembers what we drink, where we live....I can't say enough about this kind gracious man. His local knowledge, recommendations and stories are amazing. Their red snapper is very good. Perfectly crispy skin and moist, garlicky... More

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Porto di Mare tonight! The seafood soup and tortilla soup were an excellent beginning! We shared a fresh sea bass in peanut sauce entree that was perfectly cooked! The peanut sauce was subtle and provided an excellent complement to the fish. Service and price were excellent as well!

Seafood and Italian - a great combination along with a beautiful location which provides a steady amount of entertainment from the passers-by, vendors, solicitors and fish salesmen. A fun place for dinner with great food. If you want the passers-by, get a front-row table, otherwise head for the interior of the restaurant. We start with a chilled avocado soup with... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Porto di Mare. The service was excellent, the food great and the ambiance wonderful. The live music was an added bonus (soft and gentle). It definitely was our best meal experience during our two week visit to Ixtapa/Zihua. All three couples in our group felt the service, food and ambiance was exceptional. An added bonus... More
