This was our first visit to the beach and we found Amados. This place is the best location as it is at the end of all of all the restaurants. We noticed a lot of people stopping at the first few restaurants but if you walk to the end it is way worth it. At the end it is less... More

We went to Playa Las Gatas to do some snorkeling and general hanging out on the beach. Walking all the way to the end, we were greeted, not by the usual hawker, but a customer who praised the hospitality of this place. She was so right! The manager told us to make ourselves at home, after pointing out the location... More

Okay today was magical, we fished in the morning with Captain Amado, (BETTER THAN CABO FISHING) upon catching 11 fish in a 1/2 day, 8 Dorado and 3 Black Tuna, we preceded to have his family and his restaurant cook it up, wow what a treat fresh fish on the beach under a quiet palapa. They served ceviche and home... More

While Las Gatas is a pleasant family beach experience, Amado's is the last restaurant on the beach, where there are no crowds and is on the way to Owen Lee's Las Gatas Beach Club, where it's fun to watch the local surfers have fun. The Bustos family lives on the premises, and Amado himself can be booked for a terrific... More

We like to be away from the maddening crowds, so Amado's seemed like a good choice. A couple of other customers, just drinking and relaxing. We ordered Cokes, which came out quickly. We ordered lunch, which didn't come out quite so quickly. 20 minutes after ordering, I asked where the food was. Soon my shrimps in chili sauce was served.... More

After walking the length of the beach and being courted by every restaurant, our party of four settled at Amado's, the last restaurant on the beach, where the kindly waiter Rafael, who had no customers, pleaded with us to sit down. He promised to look after us and told us the beach in front was perfect for swimming. Although all... More

Amado's is the last restaurant on Playa Las Gatas in Zihuatanejo. There are quite a few to chose from, but it is definitely worth the walk to wait for Amado's. The food is fresh, the service is great, and the water is right there at your feet. Amado also is probably the most skilled fisherman in all Zihua. We wins... More

We ended up here because the rest of the beach was so crowded - over Xmas vacation week. It was a little more peaceful, and David gave good service. The 1st day I had garlic shrimp, which were very good, but had to be peeled. OK tortillas. Husband had garlic fish, and it was overcooked. Next day we both had... More
