Awesome shrimp tacos

We had great service and the shrimp tacos were wonderful. The margaritas and guacamole and chips were great too. It was fun to sit outside in the shade and take a break in shopping. The location is right by the beach and the pier which was convenient for a taxi. LA Siena Gorda "fat mermaid" has a... read more

We heard that the fish tacos were fantastic at La Sierra Gorda and they certainly were! There is not much of a view at this restaurant--it is right on the main beach walk, however it faces the Naval academy. The tacos are worth a visit for lunch, nonetheless. Three small tacos were 90 pesos and they were delicious!

I hadn't tried them in the past, but I'm glad I finally did. Nice service, tasty food and unique paintings and decorations. I definitely recommend this place.

Had read about this place in Eyewitness Guide. The only restnt recommended in Zihua. Very disappointing cuisine. Specialty fish on menu were unavailable. Service good but irrelevant when cuisine so bad......

This restaurant is known for a special entree called blackened red fish. When we ordered it they said they didn't have any. So we ordered a hamburger. Sorry we are out of hamburger. We ordered another entree and ate our meal which was only OK. Then I requested their ice cream only to hear "we are out of ice cream".... More

A cozy place close to the beach (check your chair cushion before taking seat, some people go there directly from the sea). Be open minded and enjoy tacos! Mine was octopus taco. You can see two different "salsas": the green one "no pica" ("no spicy", they say, but be careful, it is spicy) and the brave one, so hot they... More

Came here for lunch but our server informed us they did not have many kitchen items to make lunch and we should wait. We ordered beers and turns out no one in the restaurant was able to order lunch. Our beers were also outrageously expensive.

We always come to this place when in Zihua, and so far it has never disappointed. The guacamole, the tacos and the drinks are all good. This time, I ventured to try the camarones al mojo de ajo, however, and it is my new favorite dish: Juicy, tasty, broiled shrimps on a bed of fresh lettuce with a perfect vinaigrette... More

I have visited this restaurant over many years and it is always excellent. I enjoy very much the octopus tacos as well as the tacos de pescado al pastor. Other dishes that I have found excellent are pescado pibil, lobster tacos, and camaronillas. They make proper non-gringo margaritas. My favourite restaurant in zihuatanejo.

Following a recommendation from our hotel, we ate here for a light lunch one day whilst on holiday in Zihua. The food was fantastic. I think the whole menu was Mexican seafood dishes. We had a couple of different taco options (one roasted fish and the other prawns). Both were delicious, very fresh and a sensible size for lunch. The... More
