For over 30 years I have always enjoyed a fabulous lunch whenever I've had the pleasure of being in Zihu. Keep up the good work!!!

My nephew in Mexico City knowing that my wife and I were going on vacation in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo several years back, he pushed to go to La Sirena Gorda claiming they served the best fish tacos in Mexico, so we obliged and totally agree with his claims. Not Only has the best tacos but the décor of the local is unique!... More

We always eat here at least once when in Zihua. Its close to the artizan bazaar so we walk thru there while near the marina. Good food.

La Sirena Gorda has some other spots around Mexico, but the original one is at Paseo del Pescador. A great place to eat fresh shrimp and fish at Zihuatanejo, the price could feel overpriced compared on the spots that you can find on the beach, but the quality really worth it, is clean, is well cooked, and is just delicious.... This was one of my favorite spots in Zihua. The food is always amazing. Was disappointed by the level of service I received last visit. If you go, try the Tacos, so many choices. Also the spicy fish soup is amazing. The service to the customer needs to be way better. The place was empty and I had to ask... More

If you really want to experience a Restaurant in Zihuatanejo that mexicans seek for its authentic flavor and quality, you cant miss "The Fat Mermaid". Great food, good service and drinks. This little local restaurant is a foodie's heaven.

We went there because of very good reviews on google. But, after our visit, we came to the conclusion that we can't trust google reviews at all. The food was so-so. The portions were small. The service was not attentive. They didn't give us chips and salsa, which other restaurants did, and also no lime for corona beers.

Sirena Gorda sits at the end of the tourist trap market walkway in downtown Zihuatanejo just before the pier. Because of this, it's full of gringos and you can expect to be accosted by vendors, especially children, multiple times throughout your meal. The service was exceedingly inattentive, especially considering there was only one other table at the time. The fish... More

This place is wonderful. We found this place late in our 8 day stay in Zihua, so I can only comment about the breakfast, but what we had was delicious! The scrambled eggs are delicious, the pancakes light and fluffy, and the coffee is the best we found in all of Zihua. We had the bacon and egg breakfast, the... More

The food is very good, there were 4 of us we all ordered something different. Each person was speechless with only UMMMMM in response. The service can't complain and the drinks were cold and delicious.
