We dined on a Wednesday, made reservations but it was not needed, we were the only guests. The view was fantastic. The service great. The food was good. I recommend the artichoke shrimp, but not the steak. My husband was disappointed with a rib steak (hardly any meat and a lot of fat). The decor needs update. Overall experience 7.5... More

Overlooking the whole harbor is this very good restaurant....4.5 stars Everything was very good (but not quite gourmet). Enjoyed a seafood meal with a good margarita. Highly recommend this place.

Keep wanting to give Kau Kan a chance, since the food has been really good in the past. Went last week, hit it on a good night, servers were OK, and the food was excellent. Had my fave Caesar Salad in town, and my Octopus main was truly delicious. However... stopped in again last night on the way home, late... More

Kau Kan likes to think of itself as special and exclusive, but my wife and I were disgusted with the overall experience. The food was mediocre and the service was very poor, as when we challenged the waiters about the quantity of food, which was derisory, the response was in effect "that's what you get, take it or leave it."

My husband and I came here on a stormy night so the upstairs was closed due to the rain. No problem. The downstairs dining area is essentially the bar area and very sparse. Need to improve on the décor if they are to have dining here. The food, nothing special in my opinion and they use WAY too much sauce.... More

Some people commented that this restaurant is dated but I'm not sure how a view like this can ever go out of style. The roof top has nice breezes and service is good for the most part. The seafood here is so fresh, loved the octopus, you cant go wrong except for the pasta which had too much butter. They... More

Went with two friends in the height of off season. there were only 2 other tables but we were treated like royals. If you want to fascinate your palate you must try his Shrimp Souffle. You will never forget it. He is such a talented chef. 3 of us with drinks and dessert was just over $1,500 pesos. That is... More

Went there with my husband during off season, we had the whole place to ourselves which was great because we had a nice view and made it more romantic (like we bought out the place!) service was good, since we were the only ones there. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Had the mahi mahi carpaccio which was excellent. Husband had... More

Playa La Ropa's second best eats after the Casa (now Tides). The seafood here is actually just as good as the Tides, but the Tides has em on authenticity and surroundings ( the grounds at both places are beautiful.
