We really enjoyed this restaurant, we had excellent service, there was great live music, and very creative, delicious food! My daughter and I enjoyed a hibiscus quesadilla, followed by barbacoa for her and chile en nogada for me, followed by a fabulous pumpkin seed merengue with fruit and ice cream. Everything was prepared beautifully and our service was really excellent.... More

We arrived around 6pm, which is early to eat in PV, and the restaurant was still quiet. We had great service and enjoyed our meals seated in the beautiful courtyard with the namesake arrayan tree growing in the middle. Food was good and definitely different from other nearby menus, but not quite a "5 star" rating for me.

Mexican Haute Cuisine! Great house Margarita made with fruit of the Arrayan tree. Excellent. Closed Tuesday. Excellent place for dinner following the Wednesday night Art Walk.

We come here every year and are never disappointed. Sometimes I wish they would shake up the menu a bit. Food and service are wonderful as always. Owner makes an effort to greet each table. Cant wait to come back next year.

El Arrayan offers traditional foods from other regions of Mexico. The night we were there - the menu included dishes you might find in Guadalajara, Mexico City, and from as far away as Oxaca, but done in their own unique style. They offered a stuffed poblano pepper filled with fruits and nuts and meats (Oaxaca), cactus salad with Panala cheese... More

This may have been my favorite meal! But you can't have a bad meal in PV. The quality of food and service is generally excellent. I had one of the specials which was outstanding and my companions had the duck and the shrimp. It was all wonderful. And we had great margaritas made with fresh fruit--tangerine and the arrayan fruit.... More

Went there with some friends, had a few drinks that were prepared very well, food was just right, not to little or to much. It's Mexican cuisine with a flare of quality not seen very often. Bill was reasonable and we're definitely going back.

Our taxi drivers warned us how good this restaurant is and it delivered. The ceviche was world class. The decor was beautiful with some stunning art, and and open air center to the dining area. Evident authenticity to the menu and very professional staff. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended.

Hands down, this is one of the finest local cooking school that I've attended. The owner, Carmen, and her sous chef, Oscar, guided us through the fine art of making tamales. Carmen introduced us to a variety of local ingredients but the best part was the hands-on opportunity. Our class of 5 left the restaurant very proud of ourselves and... More

We had dinner at El Arrayan because it was well rated on the lonely planet guide of Puerto Vallarta. The menu is inspired by traditional Mexican food but with a good deal of originality. Very good price considering the good food and the whole experience. Also the service was great! Highly recommended
