I was there with some friends because our concierge recommend it and it was incredibly amazing. The real Mexican flavor in each dish. Omg. My favorite restaurant of course.

We had a table for four for dinner. We were immediately seated and welcomed by the two ladies who own the restaurant. They helped us with menu items that were not familiar to us, and we were delighted to try them. Service was wonderful, and...live music was provided by a solo guitar player. This is a can't-miss destination for visitors to PV, everything was great and affordable.More

We had rented an air b&b not far from the restaurant and went to check it out. We didn’t have a reservation, but they found us a table and the rest was wonderful. Regina, our server, answered all our questions about the food the Wine...and the restaurant and treated us like a friend. Food was fabulous, the surroundings comfortable and colorful and I’d recommend this place to anyone.More

Known for (and delivering) unusual and delicious Mexican cuisine. Well served in a small but pretty courtyard. Open kitchen. Justifiably popular. Loved the three salsas accompanying the pre-meal chips. Looking forward to returning on my next visit to PV.

We had another great meal here. The food is authentic Mexican and the setting is beautiful. The owners and staff are very attentive. The shrimp mole was delicious.

This unassuming storefront expands into a a partially open-air dining room of significant charm. Our service was rushed but knowledgable. Portions were perfect—not overwhelming. We left comfortably full but not stuffed. In particular, I was a huge fan of the complimentary sauces that came with...chips at the beginning. The sauces were interesting in flavor and texture and clearly a special recipe. All of our food was delicious. We ordered chicken with two moles and another mole dish. All were wonderful, but the chickenw as particularly delicious. The drinks were spot on "not too sweet" cocktails. They kind of forgot about us at the end, but that's okay. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.More

El Arrayan has proven itself to be the most consistent high end contemporary Mexican style restaurant in PV. While they have been in business for 16 years, we’ve been almost ”regulars” for the last 11. We enjoy visiting Carmen & Co usually twice during our...stay. The food is creative, consistent, fresh, seasonal and reasonably priced. Plus, you will not find better service in PV. We’ve never gone wrong with their fish specials. Their molten chocolate cake dessert is just outstanding. This is a very special place!More

We go here for dinner at least once every time we visit PV. It's our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in town. The service is attentive and the food is amazing. This review is about the Monday cooking class they offer. Carmen, the co-owner and chef...runs the class and she does a great job. We loved it. There are classes on Thursdays and Saturdays as well, but the Monday class includes breakfast and a market tour. Carmen takes you to a delightful little Mexican restaurant for breakfast - it's a full breakfast so don't eat before you go. Then it's off to Emiliano Zapato where she'll introduce you to thinks like sweet limes, various chiles, and other produce you may not be familiar with. You'll see cheeses, coffee, chocolates, juices, meats, pastries, and will get to see tortillas being made. You can buy stuff while you're there as well. We got some little biscuit cookies that we had with coffee every morning for the rest of our stay. Then it is back to El Arrayan where you'll get an apron embroidered with El Arrayan's logo to keep and a notebook for the days recipes. The class is semi-hands-on. You will get to do things like chop vegetables, separate eggs, pull meat, stir pots, and taste test and if there's time you'll get to make a tortilla or 2. But you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. Carmen is great at providing the right mix of involvement and observation for learning. She's also super fun. You work right in their kitchen and are free to move around. Last you get to eat what you made. Ours was absolutely delicious. You don't eat until about 2 so plan a light or late dinner because you won't be hungry.More

Love Love Love Mexican food so while in Puerto Vallarta I wanted to eat true authentic Mexican cuisine along with Mexican wine and that I did at the El Arrayan restaurant. Also everything on the menu is gluten free. I always say Mexican people live...in color and are happy people and the restaurant did not disappoint at that level – loved the colors inside and outside and the décor including the beautiful artworks. The food and the service was excellent !!! Muchas gracias !!!More
