Great food, drinks, service & atmosphere. Based on Tripadvisor reviews, we tried Joe Jack's Fish Shack and are so glad that we did. We enjoyed dinner so much that we went back the next day for lunch.

This is a great local place with excellent food and service. We were just there the past week and they did everything they could to make us feel safe and confortable. We just love their fish sandwiches!! The service is excellent.

Went on a walking food/tequila tasting tour and had the best tapas! Went back the next day for more and bought T-shirts.

The wife and I needed a seafood fix on our 10 day stay in Puerto Vallarta..We discovered Joe Jackson Fish Shack and were so so happy with our discovery..We started with cocktails Tommy's Margarita was spot on..We ordered the whole pacific red snapper to share..It...came to the table and what a beautiful and tasty plate..When I tell you the flavor and texture were so so good it may be a great understatement. This was the tastiest and best fish dish I have ever eaten..Do not hesitate to order this dish, fantastic and 5 stars all the way around...Nancy was our server and she was magnificent on a busy evening..My new favorite place ever..Will return every visit to Puerto Vallarta..Cheers..More

Excellent home made Roquefort blue cheese dressing on their wedge salad! I couldn't even expect France to do better. Nancy provided top notch service! I will be returning here, most assured, over my 9 days remaining. Lovely selection of entres, such as thick and flaky...sea bass (which Ill be trying next!More

Our realtor recommend this to us and I had higher hopes but it wasn’t great. I had the shrimp and chips and wish I had chosen something else. The shrimp were small and the fries were the frozen variety.

After a long day at the beach, we wanted a good fish dinner. We typically walk Basilio Badillo on the way back to the condo. We've seen the Joe Jack's sign and glanced inside the restaurant, until this time, WE WALKED IN! From the moment...you enter the restaurant, you are treated like family. The genuineness of the staff and the felling of hospitality permeates the atmosphere. It isn't like a server-patron relationship. Everybody on the floor stops by to ask how you're doing, how the food is - OK, ready? We split a fish and chip dinner and our server suggested adding an extra piece of fish so we could both experience a satisfying portion. Done and done and delicious. If you're a fish-and-chips fan, then you know the importance of the fish, and batter. Joe Jack's NAILS IT! We also ordered a wedge salad that will put any other version you've ever had in the back seat to think about itself. Yes, iceberg, yes super tasty blue cheese, but the bacon squares - like little pork belly croutons - take this salad next level. We were treated to a dessert that is hard to explain - a pot de creme caramel custard flan-like situation, with powered sugared bacon and cookies reminiscent of a Mexican wedding cookie, or like if a biscotti was rolled into a ball, yeah that.More

Two couples went and had an excellent experience at Joe Jack's. It is in the Romantic Zone on Basilio Badillio street and close enough to the beach to walk around or bar hop. We had guacamole - excellent and the mahi mahi (Dorado) fried fish...tacos. They were outstanding and I'm going to try to make them. The cocktails were also very good and service was quick and friendly. We wanted to go back for their Restaurant Week menu but ran out of time! Overall, this is one of the restaurants you need to check out while in PV.More
