This restaurant is another gem in Puerto Vallarta. The view is wonderful, the food is exceptional and the setting superb. A wonderful mariachi band plays there several evenings a week. They sound more like a small orchestra. Very talented. We took a staff member there...More

My family ate breakfast here on the last day of our trip. Our server was very helpful and attentive. The hot chocolate and chocolate milk they made for the kids was delicious and the kids really got a kick out of it. Overall great experience...More

Great location. Nice menu. Service is horrid. Nasty waitresses that never smile. They appear to be put out every time you open your mouth. I have tried several times, but management needs to clean house and bring in new help. Vacationers want smiles and fun,...More

Everytime i see a comment like yours, where emphasis is made on the waitresses, I picture a man that confuses the restaurant with a lap dance place. If you want compliant female company, their are special places for that you know.

Food was a decent price for the area. Great street side dining, entertaining to watch from our table. Service was definitely on the slower side, having young children we dined early. Food was good

My travel buddy was craving a burger after having indulged in the local cuisine for several days. We literally accidently walked into this place, grabbed a seat and were in awe at the menu selection. Everything looked great. The service was pleasant and while the...More

For a burger and/or breakfast it cannot be beat. The food is fresh, served quickly and the staff is very friendly. Make sure you're clear on whether you want tap or bottled water. They tend to throw you a bottle (charge) vs. tap water, which...More

Great stop for American breakfast or burgers and some more Mexican type dishes. Judging from the signs you can tell where they stand on the Trump issue. If you disagree you might as well eat elsewhere. Food was good, I had a tuna steak and...More

I had made many visits to this restaurant & found that the same dish tastes different each time due to different chefs on-duty. While the food standards are inconsistent, the freshness of the ingredients used & the service standards are always consistently good.

San Angel Cafe (pronounced Ann hell)is an icon of Vallarta, open since 1998 it has been providing only the best service and quality foods and beverages, both to the locals and the tourist alike. We pride ourselves to be the introducers of gurmet coffee drinks to this town way before Satrbucks even knew it existed. Our concept is a Gourmet Diner, somewhwere where you can dine, wine or simply have coffee and pastries from our Calorie Gallery. We are two retaurants (separated by time rather than by space) under one roof, one is what is known by the american and canadian expats as The Breakfast Club, where you can have both, american and mexican breakfast. The other is The Hamburger Grill that features our list of very interesting burgers made with Angus Prime Beef prpared with our 20 year old recipe. San Angel is located in Olas Altas the main street of what we call the Latin Quarter of Vallarta, in a corner with a full sidewalk area where you can "watch the crazies walk by" and have fun while townspeople do their daily stuf. Come and have a delightfull couple of hours with us, and bring your dog too!
