We had been here many times under the previous owner and we were not disappointed with the new digs, new owner and new menu. Everyone was very friendly, food was great and fresh really reasonable prices and often free live music. We will definitely be back.

Awaysis is your favorite bar you haven’t been to yet.
The owners have taken the old Que Pasa space, breathed new life into it, and transformed a dying, crusty old restaurant into an absolute gem in the neighborhood. I keep popping over for a quick bite and a drink and oooooops it’s 4 hours later and I’m still hanging out with no plans to leave.
The drinks are great and very reasonably priced, even outside of Happy Hour; try the jamaica margarita for a refreshing twist on the classic. The menu is a stunner too – excellent sandwiches and salads, great apps and wings, and giant burgers that will explode your face right off with how good they are. The BLATT sandwich (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, turkey) in particular could have been called the “Eat This Sandwich And Know The Face Of God” but admittedly, ETSAKTFOG is a less catchy name, so I get it guys.
The staff are all magic love pixies from Planet Bestie. Trust, you will be treated like a favorite regular from the moment you walk in.
They have been making great use of the space, with regular entertainers and karaoke night, but there are also times when no one is performing, for the days when you just want to hang out and talk to your friends. The pool table has been updated, and still free to play!

Was at Awaysis on the recommendation of a friend from home. There five of us from 20 something to 80. Has a number of dishes collectively.
Quite loved the bright, relaxed ambience and food overall. A couple of us had the pulled pork sandwich with resulting comments of “best ever” and “to die for.”
Portions were generous; we left with three takeaway containers. (2 folks shared a order.) Great value. We’ll be back.

We hit Awaysis a number of times during our month-long stay in PV. Simply a great place, amazing staff, and good music. The music is typically late afternoon/early evening, which us seniors really appreciated. Very good food as well. The menu items that stood out were the great guacamole, shotgun shells (stuffed canneloni), onion rings, the BLATT sandwich (fancy BLT), the burgers and nachos. We felt like family by the time our holiday was over. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome. Brunch at 10am, live music and a killer bar. The owner Gavin is an awesome guy and loves his staff. Now in its 3rd year this place has it going on. The food is x pat friendly. The chicken coop opened up and the fried chicken will rock your world. If you are a sports fan then even better. Jamison is the mascot of the bar (Scottie) say hi…or he will.

Great food, great service, amazing entertainment, love the location and love the way they are rejuvenating the spot, the neighborhood, and me! Go for brunch, go for midday happy hour, stay for live bands or karoke. The head chef is a genius. The bar staff are experts and made me feel like family. I could stay forever, It’s only going to get better and better. They will make sure you’re having fun and feeling safe.

March 30, 2024!! The motto of Awaysis is to Do Epic S#$t And yesterday was the very meaning of their Motto. Gavin and Adam have created an amazing venue for epic music, epic fun, an epic experience! They were able to showcase 2 amazing band performances into one final combined performance. The whole house was rocking! Not only are the performances at this music bar amazing, it is how the staff and owners provide such an incredible and fun experience for their patrons. Cannot say enough about this venue. People, food drinks, music...... everyone was caught up in some MAJOR EPIC S#$T! Thank You..... Thank you very much!

This place is like “Cheers” is to Boston ! Where everybody knows your name …this place knows great guest service and how to make things right 100 percent of the time ..great food ..great margaritas (may I add a double pour ) great food ! Thanks for being my go to place here in Vallarta ! Love

Music is great, venue is great, waiters are wonderful, disappointed with the new menu. Much preferred the menu from last year. Burgers last year were better and menu much more interesting. Very heavy on deep fried food now. Will continue to go but will no longer eat there unfortunately.

We were there on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet so we sat at the bar. the bartender and kitchen staff were super friendly and helpful. This is a bar so we drank and ate fried food. the fried onion rings and shrimp were delicious. Live entertainment many other nights. Thursday was a reggae band (which we had to miss). we would totally go back for a low key bar nighy

This place may seem a little out of the way, but totally check it out!!!! We went to see live music there and the vibe was so open, upbeat and friendly. Plenty of seating - well ventilated - super cool staff and even met the owners! Two brothers from the US who are now living in PV. Felt very welcomed and taken care of. Will definitely be back!

Perfect place for locals, ex-pats, immigrants, and the like. All are made to feel welcome. The food is amazing (especially if Brenda is working) and the service is solid (the entire staff is great but I'm partial to Amanda). They have different themed nights and events, but the restaurant and bar stand up all by themselves. Perfect ambiance, very comfortable, is covered, but open-air... has a pool table, a nice little fountain, lots of space, an open kitchen, a nice stage, and even an old school long bar. Do yourself a favor and stop by!!!

What a fabulous treasure to find in Puerto Vallarta!!! Wonderful and reasonably priced food with a welcoming, fun atmosphere. The nachos were terrific, and our friends loved their fish tacos. Yummy margaritas! We enjoyed great entertainment and danced to “The Availables.” Make time in your vacation to go to this Awaysis. We will definitely be back!

Our go to spot for years. Came here last Monday night for their special. Had the pasta which was excellent. Cheap, quality drinks and free pool. We love this place from its great bartenders to nightly entertainment. Will be back for karaoke in June.

Fantastic atmosphere off the beaten path with a rustic ambiance and fun vibe. Food and wait staff superb. Great talent on the small stage. Lunch specials. I spent Thanksgiving day here and had the traditional turkey dinner. Absolutely no complaints!
