Lunch in PV, besides tacos, can be challenging but this spot is a breath of fresh food! The small market has pretty tasty deli meats and some salads.... excellent curry chicken salad. The sandwiches are big and nicely made too. The bakery looked tasty and...offerings fresh.More

Ownership changed for the Mercado, so the deli has fewer choices, but still is an essential amenity for the neighborhood.

About 3/4 of the way through my stay in Puerto Vallarta I had a craving for deli style sandwich. I did a little searching on the web and found this place. My craving was satisfied! The sandwiches I ordered were delicious. They either bake their...own bread or have it delivered multiple times daily. It is a small space with outdoor seating. In the space they have grab and go food as well as some shelf stable American items for the ex pats. They have a sandwich menu that you look at and then you place your order with the staff member on duty. The kitchen is upstairs and when the sandwiches are done they are brought down to the main store. It’s a unique system but it works. They sell several types of bread as well as bagels. I purchased a sourdough loaf of bread for my friend which was still warm. He said it was wonderful. A nice clean operation which follows all the proper Covid protocols. They limit the number of people that are allowed in the small space. They do take credit cards which was handy. I had a grumpy Italian sandwich which was served on focaccia, it was delicious. My friends dined on BLTs with turkey I believe. They really enjoyed their sandwiches and said the bread was great as well!More

I loved it all, from the very nice staff, to our delicious turkey club on fresh baked white bread and turkey cranberry on fresh baked whole wheat. Cute little place where I picked up some cheeses, fresh deli turkey, pickles, bagels, cookies (incredible) and dips...for later. I thought the pricing was very fair for the quality.More

Feeling like we needed something other than tacos or pizza..... We found this place...a bit hard to find as you enter through a courtyard. Great deli selection. A board with several sandwich options and a build your own option. We tried the BLT with house...made roast turkey breast on homemade white bread (which i never order) Holy Crap.....it was amazing. Stacked full of crispy bacon and fresh ripe tomatoes. We shared a sandwich and it was perfect. I will definitely be back next trip.More

This is a great spot to go for lunch - real deli sandwiches (my fav is the Adriano which is like a Thanksgiving turkey dinner on wheat!) - eat there in the cute little courtyard or to go. And pick up some great deli salads...and quality meats to cook up for dinner.More

Have been going to Mikey's for years. Everything is fresh. Have picked up for dinner parties or just a salad. My only complaint would be I wish they were open on Sunday's.

Mikey's Deli at Los Mercados was a great find. We read through their menu board salivating over their delicious sounding sandwiches. I ordered a BLT on whole grain toast @ $90 p. My husband had a chicken sandwich with a pile of other goodies @...about $100 p. Sorry for being vague about his sandwich. All my concentration was on my own.:) Both sandwiches were huge & tasty. There was more bacon on my sandwich than I eat in a year! We know for next time that one sandwich between the two of of us would be plenty. We returned to this deli& ate more wonderful sandwiches in their lovely cool courtyard while listening to the fountain & looking a the colorful flowers. We also, bought deli items like cheese & ham to take back to our rental condo.More

I'm not sure about Mikey's...but, it's worth a visit. They have lots of stuff. The entire tiny mall is upscale and a delightful place to shop! Also, check out Peter of Vallarta Bagels at the Saturday Farmer's market and you... More
