I looked at several places in the romantic zone and saw the rave reviews and decided to give it a try. There was a line to get in and I thought about leaving but reviews said there would be a wait! Good thing you get...an order sheet while you wait to put what you want. Their speciality is Al pastor tacos so I got those. When I say thee best tacos I mean thee best!! $24pesos roughly $ 1.20 American money. Definitely a place to visit!!More

We went here twice while in PV and couldn’t fault it either time! The pork is cooked in front of you over coals and is amazing!!! We waited in line about an hour both times but it was totally worth it. We had the pork...volcanos, I would highly recommend! They do get you in and out very quickly, so don’t go here if you want to relax and have a few drinks.More

For a family outing with two young children, we had such a good time. Yes, there was a line up and a bit of a wait, but the food was so amazing. Fresh pork tacos, with charred meat, cilantro, a sliver of fresh pineapple-yum! The...cheese quesadillas were amazing. Fresh guacamole and chips were delicious. You can watch the meat cook as you wait. There is in and outdoor seating. It is a busy rollicking establishment with friendly, competent service. You can add sauces to your meal with heat to your liking. Fun crowded atmosphere. Busy, but that popularity attests to how good it is. Refreshing lemonade and cold beer. So reasonably priced for a feast. Highly recommended! So delicious!More

Poncho’s is a legend. Great place for Al pastor tacos… been there several times and have enjoyed the food. A long line most of the day so be patient. As you are waiting in line, they hand you a menu to review before being seated....This time, I decided to add up my items before eating. The total was 571 pesos… when I got the bill I was charged 699.. uh, what? Sent it back and it was adjusted to the 571…. WTF… ??? I think Panchos’s takes advantage of the tourists… a little grift goes a long way in Mexico… enjoy the food but check your bill!!!!More

5 Stars + a hundred more!! We go to Poncho’s Tacos every time we are in PV! By far the BEST Pastor tacos in all of PV!!! They open at 4pm and yes, there will be a line. There is always a line! But, it...moves pretty quick and sooooo worth the wait!! You won't be disappointed! Our faves are the queso and pastor tacos and the pastor quesadilla. The pastor is super flavorful, moist and tender. Mind blowing GOOD!!! We have also ordered the asada tacos and other stuff but we keep coming back to the pastor tacos! Just soooo dang good! This is MUST stop when in PV!!!More

WOW, we had not been for a couple of years because of the long lines. We got there early and only had two groups of two in front of us .We each ordered four pastor tacos and they were there in minutes. I think the...pastor carver must have lose control of his knife. I had never seen so much pastor taco meat on the tortilla before. Loaded with all the goodies and a condiment tray. It was probably the most delicious thing I ate our entire 12 day visit. I ate all four of mine and finished off a half of one of my husbands tacos because he couldn't finish it. So inexpensive and really great fast and friendly service. By the time we left there was a long line down to the end of the block.More

OMG best tacos ever. The pastor meat is juicy with crispy edges Those come out fast. If you ask for the other tacos those take a little longer to be made. They give you salsas and limes. Wait times can be long. They open at...4:00 pm and the shortest line is when they open and on week day. Otherwise expect up to an hour wait or more. But if you like tacos Al pastor. It is worth it.More

Worth the wait in line. My tip is to order the 4 tacos al pastor and about 2-4 extra tortillas. They come overloaded with meat. You could make those 4 tacos-6 tacos easily

This place is famous and so well known that you need to wait a very long time. BRING a MASK they will let you stand for an hour in line and when you get to about 6 people before they seat you they tell you...you need a mask to walk 5 feet to your table. WTF Anyway food is always good and fast. They will rush you so if you want to relax and have dinner don’t eat here if you want it fast ( after your hour wait) this is it. The mushroom quesadilla and grilled onions are the best.More

My Fiancée and I stayed in PVR for a few days and when we explored the town one night we saw a massive line along the street for this taco place. And by taco place I mean incredibly small hole in the wall where pretty...much everyone was sitting outside along the sidewalk. Curious, we checked it out online and saw raving reviews and an article in thrillist. So being that we wanted some legit Mexico tacos while we were down here we decided to give it a shot. Pro Tip: they open at 4pm, be in line at 3:45 and you’ll get one of the first seats, if you show up at 4 you’ll have to wait the longest time possible. Any time after 4pm expect a 30/45min + wait, seriously these tacos are that good. We were one of the first seated and the tacos blew us away, we were given chips and guac while we waited and the waiter brought out multiple different sauces to use for our tacos, we tried them all and the favorite was the pork and the Al Pastor. I would HIGHLY recommend either of those plates though the beef and chicken were also delicious. Another Pro Tip: The beautiful meat you see on the skewer out front is the Al Pastor! Anyway, we were absolutely thrilled with our decision and decided to come back the next night as well. If you’re in PVR and you want tacos, try this place because you will not be disappointed! Last Pro Tip: Don’t order everything at once, they will tell you that’s too much. Order 1 plate of tacos each and then when you’re done you’ll order the next plate. ENJOY!More

The wife and I agree this is the best place and you should make it a priority to come here. We each had 3 tacos al pastor, a lemonade, and shared the melted cheese. Amazing flavor but will admit that we ordered far too much...food as this place piles the meat on until you cannot close you taco. The tacos taste amazing without any salsa and come with a slice of pineapple that really adds dimension to the flavor, but they did bring you a tasting of of salsas too. One thing to mention is that we went during the dinner rush and waited in line for about 15 minutes hearing all the annoying Americans complaining about how they had to wear a mask while in line, I swear one lady asked to see a manager...it was straight out of a meme. So, we are seated and served very quickly, sadly my vastly overweight self was placd at a table blocking the entrance to the kitchen so every ten seconds I was bumped into and likely was on the other end of some words of frustration. This table was on the street as at one point there was a cop car siren, a motorcycle, blaring music, a yelling match, a child singing Barbara Streisand for tips, Karen's complaining, people trying to sell you things from the street, and the staff doing there jobs all while eating. Felt a little like we had just left some kind of eating competition by the time we were finished. Despite all of this noise it was well worth it. I don't know who poncho is, but his tacos are delicious. Extra points for the ice cream place on the same block for their snikersoodle ice cream sandwiches and frozen bananas.More

Our first time here and definitely read some great reviews. The AL Pastor tacos were AMAZING! Definitely a must try. The guacamole was amazing too. Along with the chips and salsa they provided. My favorite was the pineapple, mango, and habenero salsa dip. Hottttt but...yumm! Def a must try. *had to wait in line for 40 mins-ish, we'll worth it!More

The place totally sucked. An hour wait just as it opened. The food sucked. Tacos were greasy and not tasty. I ordered beef tacos with mushroom and cheese. There was no beef on my plate. Had to wait for the beef to arrive. I would...never go there again. Really pathetic. They do not give take out, or allow you to even see the menu in advance. The worst experience at a restaurant in PV.More
