This is without a doubt a jewel with one of the best views of the bay of banderas, excellent to watch a sunset but they are open for lunch as well. My wife and I went there and were attended by Marcos and Gustavo, great...service, top notch. The food was delicious and not expensive for great sea food. We asked for Concha de Mariscos( sea food in a shell) it had shrimp, octopus and clams cooked in a white sauce with garlic, white wine and finished in the oven with melted cheese, what an appetizer! For our main course we had Lobster and shrimp for two persons, it consisted of three complete lobsters and about 12 big shrimps with rice and salad, it was cooked with butter and garlic to perfection, very tender and super fresh. Dessert was caramel flan. I highly recommend to try this place and find yourself involved in a combination of a great restaurant and an amazing view that will show you peace, happiness and why you selected PV for your vacation.More

Four of us walked up the hill to Ah Caramba. When we arrived the door was open but it said closed. I asked a gentleman (waiter) if they were open, his was unsure. There was some work being done on the shade awnings. He did...sit us down and took our drink refreshment order. Beers were very cold. Gorgeous view. He also brought us menus but was unsure what the kitchen could provide. Prices were on the high side. Restaurant opens at 2pm? It was close to 4pm. We paid our bill and left. An odd visit.More

Service was terrible, wait time exceeded 45 mins to take order, trying to be patient realizing they were busy in expectation of a fantastic meal but instead received cold potatoes and vegetables, steak was supposed to be well done came with blood all over the...plate, very disappointing, mentioned to the server who walked away with no response, we won't be back. As it was the meal was over priced but with the quality it was WAY over priced.More

Nice rooftop dinner. Weather was cloudy but it would have been beautiful if we could have seen a sunset from there. With cooler night they had “Mexican” blanket/poncho to offer the woman to keep us comfortable. Thank you. Dinner selection was nice and approx 60-100...us per couple for a nice dinner and drinksMore

The food and service were excellent. The view from the dining area is absolutely stunning! The live music was just okay and a bit loud but I would definitely recommend and would return.

In business since 1995, family owned restaurant high on the hill above the El Centro area. Excellent food, excellent drinks, stunning view of the bay. We had one of the combination dinners for two, left with takeaway boxes for another meal.

Get ready to be freaked out at the rickety roads to get here. So far off the main stream, is scary. The view was great… that is about it. No cab would come back to get us. It’s so far out of the way.. and...the food was only Eh! The manager called different companies to get us. We waited over a 1/2 hour.More

11 of us went for the sunset dinner. Huge portions! The drinks are fantastic. The view is unbelievable, you would be charged for the view alone anywhere else. Book a reservation for this dinner. The lobster and Shrimp combo for two is legit!

3 couples with a 6:30pm reservation on a Friday. Marco met us outside at the entrance. The covered, open-air dining area has sweeping, breathtaking views of the city and bay. Marco patiently helped us with the photos we all wanted to take before sunset. Marco...took attentive care of us with charming humor, answering all our questions, thoroughly explaining the menu, taking our orders and serving with help from Luis. Everyone raved about their meal. Two had "Fat fish", one "Surprise Fish", one "Shrimp Caramba", and one couple shared a lobster, shrimp and steak dish for two served on a heated side stand. Four people had Manhattan cocktails and were very impressed (an easy cocktail to screw up). We all shared a very nice bottle of Malbec from the very short wine list. All in all, an amazing experience for a lower price than expected. They accepted credit cards for payment. One note - while not a long way up the hill from town, the roads are steep, narrow, and paved with classic PV cobble stones. Take an UBER or Taxi.More

After taking a taxi driver's recommendation seven years ago my family go here for dinner every time we're fortunate enough to be in Puerto Vallarta. Absolutely worth the short drive into town and away from the tourist traps. The food is excellent, the drinks are...big and the service is top notch. Get the steak and lobster for two - you won't be disappointed. Go for dinner and the best sunset in town - it's pretty incredible.More

During our 2 week stay we came here twice. It's true that the food can be just as good and/or/maybe better at other places, but it's so worth it to get a front seat reservation overlooking the bay from this high up. They have a...tendency to overcook the shrimp, but even at that the taste is really good and it is plentiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful deciphering the menu. The wine list is very limited, but decent for what it was. It's way up on the side of the hill and you need a taxi/uber to get there. We will return.More

Yes they accept credit cards but many other restaurants in PV have gone to cash only so it pays to check first.
