About
A mexican restaurant with autentic mexican food, the special is the mole sauce witch is made like in the past, an artesian mole that takes over a week to prepare, unique texture and a chocolate taste at the end. A very house warming atmosphere, and always a good service taken by the owners themself.

Fantastic. Authentic Mexican. Tres moles to die for. If you want a menu of 75 items, find a tourist trap elsewhere. When you’re ready to dine this is the spot.

I was very underwhelmed coming to this restaurant. This caught me off guard considering the great reviews and pictures. The service was mediocre at best. I didn’t get a “sample” of mole sauces to choose from. I ordered enchiladas with the dark mole. The chicken...was dry and unseasoned. There was no live music. We immediately went elsewhere after our departure for tacos to fill us up. Disappointed because I love mole and didn’t get the experience I had hoped for and it was my birthday.More

What a delightful find amidst a row of overly touristy focused restaurants, this gem offers an authentic mexican menu that highlights the most amazing of sauces - mole! They start by bringing a sampling of the three different mole sauces on offer. Toward the end...of my meal the owner was passing through the restaurant and told me the story of how his mother made mole for him as a child and how is now happy to share her food with visitors to PV. Great food, great atmosphere, worth a look!More

We were two adults that ate at this restaurant on March 1, 2020. We have eaten here a number of times before but this is the first time that we have eaten a review. We had just come from watching a show at Act II....We were not very hungry as we had a snack before going to Act II. We decided to skip the first course and instead ordered a main course. My friend chose the rib eye steak and I had the t-bone steak. Both steaks were perfectly done as we had requested. They were also generous portions. Both plates came with the same lovely vegetables. Both dishes were excellent. In terms of wine we chose a cabernet sauvignon (red) called La Cetto (2017). It was surprisingly good. Dry & light as we like our wine. Our waiter, Carlos, was excellent! It was he who helped us choose the wine. Thank you, Carlos. We had no room for dessert so we skipped it. Normally they have a young man here singing and playing a guitar. However, since it was Sunday he had the evening off. We will return!!More

Delicious mole dishes. Enchiladas and the Mahi Mahi fish special both with various mole sauces recommended. Try the unque variations of Margaritas too! Sitting outside was fun to watch all the people strolling by.

I’ve been coming to El Mole De Jovita for years. They are a great family run business and the service is always offered with a smile. In the front often the owner’s nephew will play guitar while in the back of the restaurant is a...great open air courtyard. The food is consistently good and you always feel welcome.More

I panned this restaurant in 2019 because of poor service, despite the always-good food. Service is improved on this visit, maybe because we sat in the front instead of the garden (which was closed). Three choices of mole sauce. (They used to take the time...to explain each one and suggest which goes best with which dish. Not this time. Waiter seemed distracted or rushed.) Chicken breast with Jovita mole was excellent and had some veggies and potatoes to accompany it. Salmon with Jovita mole was also excellent, with a risotto to go with. The streetside singer was very good, and we have enjoyed watching him and his voice mature for several years. Table service was indifferent, but better than last year when we were seriously ignored.More

A great place to eat and very affordable. Wonderful authentic food. The moles are delicious and flavorful. Jamie was a great server and his food recommendations fit our palette. A lot of tourist are enticed by the new restaurant chains nearby and are missing out...on a great place.More

We loved this place so much we went back four times in our week in PV. They make three kinds of mole, so we had to come back and try different moles on different dishes. The waiters were super friendly and chatted with our 8-year-old....Drinks were good. Desserts amazing. We had the house-made ice cream, the lemon pie, and the flan. Favorites were the chile relleno and the enmoladas.More
