My family and I just came back from a trip to Puerto Vallarta. Someone at our hotel recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try on our last night. It is a family owned restaurant and everyone makes you feel so welcomed. We were...greeted by a young family member who escorted us to our seats that looked over the city, the mountains, and the ocean. We had two waiters, one of them was Josue, and they were kind and provided wonderful service. They took our family picture! The food was top notch. Everyone enjoyed their meal greatly. The sunset was also beautiful. It was a highlight of our trip to PV! If you give it a try, you will not be disappointed :)More

The concierge recommended El Palomar for a moderate yet memorable meal. He was wrong it was far more than moderate it was exquisite. My friend and I had the Tortilla soup as an appetizer, for an entrée she ordered the Rib eye, I purchased the...shrimp wrapped bacon, we shared so we could have a taste of each. We returned two days later with a larger group, this time we had the French Onion soup, it was quite literally the best soup I've ever tasted. For dessert our table shared bananas foster, flambeauxed table side. Incredibly the meal itself was not the best part of our evening. We were met by "Angel" a young man who took my arm and escorted us down the cobblestone stairs to a charming restaurant with a view. The view was stunning, in fact I recommend going an hour before sun down and watching the sunset. The staff was helpful, friendly and delightful to meet and get to know. Our evening was a delight! I will return to Puerta Vallarta, simply to experience El Palomar again. Tell them Cindy sent you.More

This is the most amazing restaurant in Puerto Vallarta ! We have been here several times since our discovery of it 2 years ago!!! The food is excellent, the service beyond imaginable and the view is exceptional. We have been here twice in the last...10 days and our waiter Josue made sure we were happy and satisfied. The chef made us a special lobster dinner to night which was beyond words! Please try this restaurant .. a little out of the romantic but a taxi is only 50 pesos… worth the driveMore

This has been one of the most memorable meals and experiences I’ve had both in 2017 and 2021. The service is incredible, the food and drinks are delicious and the ambiance and views are breathtaking. The restaurant is a beautiful home on the cliffs and...it gives you a true authentic at home feel. The steaks and fish are superb, beautifully plated and so flavorful. Victor was our waiter in 2017 and remembered our group when we visited again just recently. We enjoyed the bananas foster cooked in front of our table after sunset. The photo opportunities are endless. Do not miss eating here, you won’t regret it. I look forward to going back!More

We had an amazing experience-wonderful food, attentive staff (thank you Victor!) and made my family feel right at home (even giving my 2 year old nephew the awesome joy of pushing the buttons to retract the awning after sunset. Oh to be 2 again! 😊)...The food, top notch: jicama shrimp tacos, onion soup, shrimp cocktail, Cesar salad table side, steaks, wine shrimp with linguine...all amazing. And for dessert, bananas foster. 😋 The service, on point: Angel escorted my mom into the restaurant. He’s maybe 8 and cute as a button. Victor, our server, walked us through the menu and went above and beyond. Great for the family or a romantic evening. ❤️More

Good food, great views, and even better service!! Food and drinks were delicious, some of the best we had in PV, but the service is where this place really shines. The view here is incredible especially for a sunset dinner and the team here could...easily rest back on that alone but they offered incredible service from the moment we entered. They even mixed us a custom blend after we asked for even hotter sauce than they offered. This place alone would make me return to PV.More

The view and location is spectacular. I am a martini fan… best in mexico, nice wine as well. I had a wonderful meal and appetizer. Steak with Very interesting appetizer. My wife had a nice salad with fish that was not appealing… dry. Our guests...meal was well received. Without detail the meal was average, but excellent service. At the end the did not accept cc tips only cash. Created a bit of a fuss really negatively impacting the evening, but all in all a good night. I would not go back howeverMore

Victor at El Palomar was a fabulous host and his brother, the chef was excellent. The shrimp were huge. The Cesar salad made table side is always delicious as was the Mexican coffee. Quite a show. There is no better view than here!

Never written a restaurant review before. However, felt I had to let others know about this special place overlooking the Zona Romantica. Family run restaurant with great service, spectacular view and the best seafood we've had in PV. Family takes pride in this place and...they work to make your experience special. The youngest member of the Gonzalez family escorted my wife to and from our table. Very nice touch. The actual menu is more extensive than what you see on their website. Recommend the seafood w/ pasta and red sauce and the tuna appetizer.More
