I love this place and have been coming here for years. It’s high on a hill with a great view. The food is reliably great. My garlic shrimp tonight was awesome. Great service. This is our go to place for the last night in PV.
Celebrated my birthday here. Beautiful views, relaxing intimate setting, live music, attentive friendly service. I loved everything - the jicama tacos, ribeye & lobster, margaritas, and the must-have Mexican coffee! Each of us ladies was given a beautiful tropical flower to take home. Thank you...for making my birthday so special!More
Celebrated my 50th birthday here with a wonderful dinner overlooking PV. Our young “host” Angel led us to our table that was decorated for the occasion with balloons and streamers. Dinner started with the Caesar Salad prepared at our table followed by a grill rib...eye steak and a wine shrimp. Both meals were delicious and presented beautifully. Dessert was a chocolate cake with Happy Day Leandro written on the edge of the plate. Gracias a Victor and all the staff at El Palomar for a wonderful and memorable evening.More
Good food, very nice staff, lovely atmosphere. Only complaint is the harassment for a tip in cash. Its ok to ask once but after you have paid to ask again made a sour ending to the evening. We live in PV for more than half...the year and when we pay by credit card we are always especially generous with the tip. You don't need to harass. We don't want the hassle and there many other great restaurants.More
I've been to this restaurant multiple times and have enjoyed it every time. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, served in a refined way with excellent flavor. La sopa de tortilla is a great way to start off the meal! One top of...good food, the view is one of the best in Vallarta. The setting is very peaceful and relaxed - feels like home because it is a home.
The service, led by Victor is excellent as well. The staff is extremely attentive and definitely adds to the meal.More
As we arrived at the El Palomar it was early in the evening dinning hour - 5:30 - we were coincidentally met at the door by the Host Victor and his son, Angel. Angel, who is probably 7 or 8 years old offered his arm...to my wife to escort her to our table. An exceptional gesture. They made our Caesar Salad at table side. A real creative approach and it was very tasty. We enjoyed the evening with a great view over Old Town looking to the north. Be there as the sun sets. It is very near the top of the list of our favorite restaurants with a view.More
My wife and I had an amazing time Victor was our host at the restaurant the scenery was beautiful and the ambience was absolutely amazing!! They did a wonderful job for my wife’s birthday celebration I would definitely recommend this place if you ever get...to Puerto VallartaMore
We always make a point when in PV to have dinner here. We are never disappointed and love the atmosphere, food and the amazing staff ( Victor is a true gem) You truly will love the views and the uniqueness of the restaurant!
Victor has been our server each time we have eaten here. He does a great job. The view and food are great. The only complaint is the flaming coffee was not hot.
We decided to try this place out after getting it as a recommendation from the hotel we were staying at. I'm so glad we did. It was a beautiful view in this quaint restaurant that's actually part of a home. Victor (our waiter) was warm...and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door and little 10 year old Angel was a charmer - taking my arm and escorting me to my table and pulling out the chair for me to sit. It was a quiet night but the music was great and the food delicious. Highly recommend!More

This is considered a local special occasion restaurant and they like being old school romantic elegant... same waiters for decades kind of place... It is not outrageous but main courses will be $15 to $20 USD. The experience is affordable With the current exchange rate this is a fabulous bargain for the atmosphere, view and experience. Order the flaming coffee.
