Looking for a place to escape the heat and enjoy dinner. Have heard many great reviews and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. Fun, kitschy decor and friendly service. The food was also delicious and reasonably priced. The bar and food tabs...are separate and Mia the paid separately but that was not a big deal. It is clearly stated on the menu. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be going back again!More

Most affordable place to eat and drink along with air conditioning. Just a few blocks back from beach. Mostly full of expats who live here and know what a great place it is. They make their own tequila and run specials everyday.

Let me start by saying this business has two entities in the same location. It was made clear the bar was to be a separate bill from the food. Came for restaurant week with friends. The food was excellent. Exceeded expectations in every way and...the service was great. Come time for the bill for the BAR portion. The bartender said they were cash only. Despite the “we accept visa” sign on the door. When we asked why we weren’t told that he make a sassy comment about us being uneducated tourists…. Although I have lived in Mexico for a decade. One person had to go get cash from an ATM 10 minutes each direction. While going outside for a second myself and my other friend left our phones and sunglasses on the bar and the bartender came outside to ask if we were running on the bill…. So now we were made out to be thieves. When we re-entered the bar all our drinks were poured down the drain! So they became the thieves and the bartender wouldn’t look or speak to us. We waited patiently for our friend to return with cash and left. Terrible, horrible service. Will not return again EVER. And what a shame because the food was amazing. Maybe they should fire the bartender and let the kitchen side run the show.More

Worst service I have ever experienced in PV. EVER! I would never in a million years go back. The bartender Aberham was a rude, arrogant thief.

We stumbled across this fabulous place on a walking tour, had breakfast there. Breakfast was unbelievably good! They insisted we have a free tequila shot since we were newbies. Great food & service!

Went tonight for an early dinner and the beer was cold and the mango margarita delicious. We ordered the wings extra crispy and they were perfectly cooked. The bbq pork sandwich was hot and had great sauce. The other three entrees, 2 poblano stuffed peppers...and chicken enchiladas, came out luke warm. The order of cheesecake never arrived so we paid the bill and left. I'd definitely recommend the bar/ restaurant for drinks and wings but we won't be rushing back for the entrees.More

To be fair, we first discovered Frida's new location in December 2021 and now in March/April 2022, it has become our regular go to place. The food here is GREAT and the prices are very fair. The staff are all sweet and always make us...feel so welcome. Even when one of us got the Covid and had to stay home, we just got take out from Frida's and it still felt like a vacation. Thanks to all of the Frida's staff & Chef.More

This once very nice restaurant continues to go down hill due to poor management. The new manager is too busy getting drunk to perform his job. The restaurant side continues to offer excellent choices and great tasting food, but the front of the establishment and...bar are a total disaster. Waiting 20-30 minutes to be served a drink has become the norm and the complaints of local's have fallen on deaf ears. It is a shame that the restaurant, actually a concession, will suffer as well.More

OMG 😱 Freda’s is the most under rated establishment! I just had the smoked salmon eggs benny and they added capers for me because they are to die for. Pair that with a great mimosa, which is made with champagne you could drink on its...own … well, heaven in the making! Their Thanksgiving dinner was spectacular. Some may think a little pricy, but all you can eat turkey, rare roast beef, ham and stuffed pork tenderloin with all the trimmings, I’d say … the best ever! Drink special every day for 40ps or less …. Bring it on!!!More

Been here a couple times now in the last couple weeks. Great spot! We have had Chicken Cordon Blue, Enchiladas, Nachos, soup, onion rings, calamari. All very good. Beer is cheap and even better on Mondays(15 peso)! Glad to Manny’s spot filled and great see...it’s with Fridas. Still working on the 2 bill system. One for for food and one for drinks.More

Very friendly bar and restaurant. Great menu and specials. The full bar has day of the week specials... For instance 35 peso margarita. Beer is always only 25 peso but certain days just25 peso. Get out of the tourist area and walk over to Frida's......You won't be disappointed... BIG HEADS UP ... They are now located 481 Lazarro Cardenas.More

Dec 5, 2019 Frida Restaurant & Bar Puerto Vallarta Three of us went to Frida bar and restaurant after attending the Sunset Malecon Sculpture tour. The restaurant area is upstairs and bar downstairs, so you actually receive two checks, a tad confusing. We sat on...the balcony area overlooking the street. They have a small menu but very reasonable prices. We had a good Chicken Cordon Blue with mashed potatoes and veggies, large portions for 160 pesos. A separate bill for the tequila shot and diet coke totalling 70 pesos. Service was fine but somewhat slow due to having to get drinks downstairs, I think. It is a very small simple place with decent food. If in the area worth a visit but not somewhere to go out of way for.More

No, but that’s how they keep prices so low. Where can you go in Vallarta and drink all night for less than $200 ps including a 20% tip?

Sorry I'm not sure as we are Jewish so wouldn't have even noticed if it was on the menu as we would subconsciously just skipped over it.
