It is in a local neighborhood and not in the normal restaurant row area. We actually stay in the neighborhood as we like the "village" feel while only being a few blocks from the action. The food and service at Encanto cannot be better. I had the seafood chile relleno and the wife had the coconut shrimp with a nice... More

had a fantastic dinner here. Our cab driver was not sure where to go but asked a couple of others and finally got us there. Decor is quaint. Service is fantastic. Have the garbage salad...amazing!!

went last week and had a terrible experience, food was not good and the waiter wanted to fight me after insisting a 15% tip was not enough, we were the only two in the place & I can see why.

This is definitely off the beaten path. We have been coming to PV for 15 years and have just been told of this little gem. The service is wonderful, you really feel like you are their most valued customer. They serve you many extras that are beyond delicious. We started with chips and unique salsa mixes Then they brought out... More

Just came back from a fabulous dining experience in Puerto Vallarta. This is my second year in PV and I've eaten in most of the good spots but this little jewel of a neighborhood restaurant was far and away my favorite! The restaurant itself is a charming space, the service was attentive and very friendly and the food was delicate... More

This is one of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. It is very reasonably priced with an unusually interesting menu. We read previews reviews which reported that the portions were small. As a result, we over-ordered. The entrees were plenty big enough. However, the corn cake appetizers are a must. The chicken in guava sauce was superb as was the... More

This restaurant has succeeded in tying together all aspects of what it takes to be a great restaurant. Excellent food, beautifully presented by friendly attentive staff. Our party of 4 were seated promptly and our drink orders taken and received right away. We ordered our meals and while waiting enjoyed the free appetizers. Everyone raved about their meals and our... This small restaurant is beautifully decorated. While moderately expensive with small portions, which were offset with a free quesidilla appetizer presented while we were waiting for our main course/appetizers of very good crab cakes and seafood stuffed chile relleno. Both these dishes were quite small (one chile) but were compensated with another unexpected item of a free pastry puff filled... More

We have eaten at Encanto for many years, but it fell off our radar during recent visits. Thankfully, we returned tonight. Enrique is the attentive waiter at this small restaurant, located about 4 blocks east off Insurgentes near the river in an otherwise residential area. Enrique and Piano, the owner, welcomed us at the door, and helped us feel right... More

Went to opening night on 1/20/17...and was very impressed. Great energy with owner Tracy asking the audience for advice on their shakeout night...i.e. Help workout kinks that we observe. Given that they were still hanging lights, placing tables and chairs, etc. a mere 4 hours before the 8 pm opening, I give them 5 stars! Heart, soul, dedication by the... More
