Great Thai and Asian menu. Food was superb. Very popular: come early or sit outside with a cocktail and wait. They do not take reservations.

Wow! We waited an hour for a table and worth every minute. Service outstanding and every dish we ordered was fantastic. Wonderful fusion. The place has a wonderful story behind it you can read on their menu. Founder came to PV in mid 70's to build anew life. This is a family run place. Clearly one of the best Asian... More

Try Archie's Wok. We ordered 5 dishes between three of us and it was more than enough. Very clean. Get there early as the lineup starts about 5:15.

Archies is a must while in PVR! We waited 15 minutes which is nothing! We ordered the usual Asian slaw, coconut rice, red chicken curry & spicy thai noodles! All dishes were exceptional. Service was great considering how busy it was! Another great meal!

Great asian cuisine. Had chicken satay and egg rools to start, both excellent and lots of flavor. Main courses included sizzling fish baked in banana leaves, Thai garlic shrimp, ginger stir fried veggies with shrimp and almonds and hoisin bbq riblets. All excellent. Long wait. No reservations. Go early, put your name in and stroll over to the pier. Corkage... More

Busy place and for a good reason, very good Asian food with a different twist. Nice setting especially in the back garden section. Professional staff, go early, music on Friday evenings.

We've eaten here 3 times in 10 days and we'll be back. This restaurant is run by pros. The food is fantastic. (great vegetarian options) There is ALWAYS a wait. Now they have tables and chairs out on the street for waiting and they serve drinks out there. One night, they also served nuts. The service is stellar. The wait... More

No reservations allowed that being the only drawback. But if you are prepared to wait, the food is very good and the service superb

This is a long time PV institution and the lines are long to get in for a reason. Very good food and very good service. They definitely underrate their hot/spicy scale - I had a "2" which appears to be their hottest and found it pretty mild - a 1 on a 5 point scale. The other thing that keeps... More

Description
Archie's Wok is widely recognized as Puerto Vallarta's best Asian fusion restaurant, featuring authentic, freshly prepared cuisine that spans the Pacific Rim from Thailand to the Philippines, to China and Vietnam. The staff offers traditional and contemporary dishes from these distinctive regions. They daily prepare a palette of complex sauces and condiments. Savor the aromas of spicy chili sambals, curry pastes, their famous hoisin sauce for the ribs and chiang mai sauce, too. The menu is truly a cuisine of medleys, which combines Pacific Island foods, Asian cooking techniques, Mexico's fresh ingredients and a host of other cultural and culinary influences. Seafood is caught daily in Banderas Bay and delivered fresh to the restaurant. Locally grown ingredients include an array of vegetables, herbs and spices, including kaffir lime, galangal, lemon grass, ginger, chilies, tamarind, and coconut milk. These are native to both Asia and the Mexican Coast. Archie's Wok has been family owned and operated since 1986. The history starts in 1977 when Archie Alpenia began working as the famous Hollywood Director John Huston's private chef at his personal retreat in Banderas Bay. From then on the restaurant continues to be run by his wife Cindy, daughter Kyoki and son Sergio. His legacy continues in this comfortable restaurant. Archie's Wok is just steps away from the Los Muertos Beach Pier and is a great location to meet friends and family. The restaurant is casually elegant and their team is committed to great service, excellent food and a comfortable setting. You can enjoy lunch and dinner in this sublime atmosphere with dining room and Asian style garden.
