After reading some reviews My wife and I decided to go on a Thursday with reservations The evening was mellow and calm . We ordered a bottle of Cabernet A Pork Shank and the catch of the day. Because of COVID we are more aware...of cleansing and that includes using lime (a natural cleanser) to get rid of any debris or bacteria on utensils. When we received our entrees we asked for limes to wipe down our utensils, we waited ...and waited ...and waited patiently while our meals were getting cold. Unfortunately, I had to get up and go to the bar myself and ask for limes ERRRRR! Ten minutes later at least after getting the limes, I finally saw and waved down our casually walking around the patio, server JOSÉ ( Not recommended)!) -I asked him why he dropped the ball (In Spanish -as I am fully bilingual), he just stared in bewilderment as if to pretend to “not remember” ( Mind you I said everything in Spanish, so there is no excuse) And NOT ONE apology. I was very livid by his non action nor simple apology and plain stupidity. I asked for the bill from the busser, as the server was cowardly hiding so he would not have to deal with me. I paid the bill in total including tip -through the busser. Everything was a total mess! I spoke my mind and frustration with the manager/captain. The captain apologized and offered me to please come back and he would personally serve me -whatever c’mon the night was ruined and the foul impression was left! SHAME ON THEM FOR SUCH SHOTTY HOSPITALITY, SHAME ON ME FOR EVEN CONSIDERING A RETURN. A VERY HORRIBLE EVENING, TERRIBLE SERVER -JOSE, COLD FOOD, OVERRATED RUBBERY (Microwaved) SHANK😡More

We will return again and again to El Presidio. It has an incredible, upscale feeling and the food and drinks are great. I love the bacon wedge salad. And the shrimp mac and cheese is delicious too. Service is generally exceptional here. We take new...visitors to this place all the time because it is an experience not to be missed.More

Another visit from the 8 old Minnesota ladies. The location is fabulous, in a repurposed hacienda over 200 years old, with the roof removed. The tables are widely spaced, and round glass for good conversation for our large group. Wonderful menu, great service and food,...reasonable prices for such quality food.More

We actually ate there twice in the last two weeks. First I guess is the place itself, they could charge admission just to see inside the restaurant. The food tastes good and is very reasonably priced. We split a bacon wedge salad and meal had...2 drinks each and an appetizer and our bill was less than $50.00. The salad was excellent, the zarandeado fish was perfect, cabernet was excellent also, only downside I would say is the menu is a bit limited.More

We go back to this special restaurant every year. It is in an old building that has been over run with trees, vines, etc. The beauty takes your breath away the first time you see it. The food and service is also very good.

Low lights, a garden, romance, fabulous food with extremely reasonable prices means dinner at Presidio. The large outdoor garden with trees plants waterfalls and ponds is an inviting atmosphere for any dinner but particularly appealing when the food matches the beauty of the garden. The...presentation was wonderful. We loved it so much the first night that we returned again three nights later. We were able to have three different entrees and each one was a winner. The beet salad was out of this world. The restaurant is located in a very old Mexican home with an interior court yard that serves as the dining garden. The elegant Mexican home belong to the restaurant owners grandparents and has been beautifully adapted for elegant dining. This is a must dinner spot for anybody visiting Mazatlan.More

, I frequent Mazatlan at least twice a year for the last 20 years... I have been to the El Presidio restaurant many times , unfortunately I have to say we had the worst service last night, my husband was given a cloth napkin that...was clearly soiled with crusts of dried food...The waiter was uninterested in our experience and had the personality of a rock. We ordered two glasses of wine after the initial small pour and we realized that this bottle had been open for quite some time it was bitter.... as my husband is a sommelier.. the food was good...but the poor service really ruined the event. El Presidio is hit or miss ..in my opinion it’s the fine attention to detail that is missing.. there are so many other fine restaurants in beautiful Mazatlaan....I won’t be returning thereMore

Maybe the best restaurant in all of Mexico. First of all: the setting. STUNNING! The menu is large and everything on it is fabulous. The service is outstanding, we went 2 nights in a row and seriously considered extending our vacation to go another night....Do not miss this place if you are in the area. And the prices were so reasonable for the value of food they were serving! Amazing drinks too. My favourite was the duck burritos and the lamb. Cannot way enough good things about this restaurant!!!!!More
