My husband and I took a bus from Playa Cerritos to eat breakfast at Allegro Caffe because of the ratings. We thought the food was good. He liked his cheddar omelette and my waffle was light and fluffy. We also shared a fruit plate and delicious carrot juice. The food definitely a four. Where we lowered the score was because... More

The desserts look lovely, but I lost any desire to try them after the lackluster breakfast. The waffle had a weird, stale taste. My husband had the chilaquiles verdes with shredded chicken and he said it had all just been piled on top, rather than cooked together. The fresh OJ was good though, and the coffee was decent. Prices weren't... More

For all the great reviews, I was disappointed. Apparently they were under staffed. Our server was rushing around like crazy and bordered on rude. The food was OK only. The hollandaise sauce had an odd flavor - like it was made with a packaged powder and not readily available natural ingredients. I will not return.

Best eggs Benedict in the city. Many variations to choose from. Prices are responsible and very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone

I came to Allegro 3-4 times during my stay the coffee is amazing and the cookies they have are so delicious. Staff is friendly and the music they play is nice.

I like this place. It has a cute cafe feel. The food is pretty good, although a bit heavy on the cream.

We've been here twice in 3 days because my husband loves their caffe mocha so much! Both of our visits were at breakfast so I can only write about breakfast offerings: wonderful! The small fruit plate is a beautiful display of fresh fruit with yogurt. I'm sure we'll stop by several more times before we leave beautiful Mazatlan.

The fact that it is very hard to find a seat for breakfast is testament to how great the food is here. The servers do a great job of handling the customers and keeping things moving so no one has to wait to long. Most of my experience is with the restaurant that is close to the plaza muchado in... It helps that we love historical Mazatlan, but this establishment is still worthy with its charming brekkie menu and great beverages. You can enjoy what appears to be homemade pastries and a well-made espresso here too, if that's your cup of tea. We recommend.
