This "normal" looking café directly on the beach is a hidden gem for food-lovers. The lovely Canadian owner Leanne is a master in making simple sandwiches, burgers, or omelets into unexpected gourmet delights, in an unpretentious, joyful and colorful Mexican environment, for very good prices. We cannot praise her café enough after seral years of eating there, crave her food,... More

We just finished brunch at this little sea side gem in the Emerald Bay Area of Mazatlan and could not wait to give them s review. It is gourmet dining right on the ocean and the food is sublime. I had the aptly named "heavenly" which is dark chocolate stuffed French toast. It is finished with walnuts. Honestly worthy of... More

Thank you, for such a wonderful review. I am so pleased that you had a most excellent experience. Our goal at Surf's Up to to not only provide attentive service but for the food to make you have an emotional experience. One that you will remember. Sunday July 31st was our last day open for the season. We generally close... More

this is a great restaurant, right on the beach in Emerald Bay, Dusty road to get there but definitely well worth it. The owners are Canadian and have a flare for unique dishes, the stuffed hamburgers are big enough to share. Next time we will share the breakfast meal as we couldn't finish it all. The staff are wonderful they... More

When we returned to Mazatlan, we were so excited to hear Surf's up was open for the season. This is an amazing place. The staff is great and attentive. The food takes a little time to get, but well worth the wait. The flavors are unusual but work well together, the portions are big and everything is well priced. It... More

A yearly vacation breakfast favorite with our family. Every listing highly creative ...We aim to try them all. Lunch also available, but breakfast is our preference. Friendly staff. Sits directly on the ocean and is a stopping point for visitors walking the sands. Taxi and pulmonia drivers may complain of the dusty, somewhat rutty road, but cajoling does work and... More

We were staying at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay, about 2 miles walk up the beach from Surf's Up Cafe - and after walking by a few times we decided to stop in for a brunch - we wished we had come in more often - they are open from 8am to 4pm and except for the fact that it would... More

We have been to Surf's up numerous times, and every time we go, we are more impressed than the time before. They have it all --- great location, on the beach, straight out of a movie. Fantastic food, exploding with flavor with the freshest and most creative ingredients. Exceptional service -- the pace is perfect, the staff is warm, friendly,... More

I live nearby, so this is a nice addition to our neighborhood , down the dusty dirt road. We stop by on Saturdays to listen to the reggae music and have a few drinks, with our dog, with a view of Emerald bay, a good time. Thursday they have a Rock Band ( only during the season). Everybody seems to... More

Great service, excellent food! A bit hard to find, but well worth the search!! I went here with friends and I wish I paid closer attention to where it is located. Like I said, it is well worth searching out. The food is VERY exceptional, especially for Mexico. Not the usual menu that you see everywhere.

This restaurant is located in Nuevo Mazatlan. It is on the beach and I took 6 people there from a nearby resort for a few drinks and to listen to the entertainment. Drinks were good, service was good and the music was very good. When we got up to leave we got a bill that was 41% higher than what... More

I am always perplexed by people who think lying is acceptable. If your going to write a review to give the public your opinion, the least you can do is give real facts. Your first lie, was in your caption line, "owner does nothing to correct problem". I was never approached by you or anyone for that matter, nor did... More
