We've been to Il Mosto many times over the years. The Black Burro is still an excellent meal if you can get served. Their other selections are basically terrible. The meat is tough or not cooked correctly. But, the greatest problem is getting served. Last night it took over 2 hours to be served and we had to find the... More

We could not decide where to eat so we chose II Mosto as I had read about the "blackened burro" steak on the menu. Can't remember what my wife had but she enjoyed her meal very much. I had the "blackened burro" steak with a baked potato both of which were very generous portions. This was one of the best... More

My husband enjoys going to Il Mosto for the Black Burro. Last night we took a couple who own a black angus ranch in the states and agreed that the fillet was awesome. The waiter was great, but they were short handed and so it was slow getting our check. But it did not matter since we were visiting with... More

As a long time resident we eat out often. The 'Black Burro' steak cannot be beat. The pasta that comes with it is fantastic. It is one of our all time favorites.

Decided to try this restaurant after being told how great it was. Don't know where they've been eating. Sat for ten minutes before we were offered drinks. Did not get salsa and chips, which is a staple in Maz. They would have held us over while we waited the 3/4 of an hour (maybe more), till our meals arrived. They... More

We had not been here yet, so were excited to try something different. The restaraunt is at the Machado Square, so on a Friday night the activities are plentiful. We were served homemade warm bread with a garlic butter on the side. The zucchini appetizer is very good. The lasagna was very deliscious, if you like lots of hamburger with... More

Our group of friends eat out each night in our 3 month stay and always try steak if a notable entrée on the menu. Three of us had the Black Burro and found it to be the best so far in the City. The service was disappointing as was the César Salad. The Salad was not cut but consisted of... More

Last night four of us went to Il Mosto for a Birthday Dinner. We all ordered the "Black Burro" it used to be melt in your mouth delicious. We all ordered our steaks either rare or medium but we all got well done. What a disappointment. I had heard that Il Mosto wasn't as good as it used to be... More
