Our lunch at Gus Y Gus had one hit and one miss. The location is very nice with a great view of the Marina. The order of tostadas was very good. My order of Gus Gus shrimp and coconut shrimp was disappointing. It was obvious they had been prepared the night before and reheated for lunch. Flavor was ok, but... More

We had breakfast at this restaurant yesterday, two had had huevos rancheros and I had the chilaquiles with Machaca with eggs, which is beef that has been marinated, cooked, shredded and then dried. I can honestly say it is the best Mexican food on the New Marina and priced very well. The restaurant is very clean with nice bathrooms. The... More

Same menu, quality, and service, but quieter and more scenic. Not woth a trip just to go there. But if you are in the neighborhood, try the beef Nachos.

Can't say we love this restaurant, but the setting is awesome. We take our visiting guests here to showcase the marina setting and provide a menu that is not one-dimensional like everything around it. Under those circumstances, this place is great. English spoken so our guests feel at ease and most items on the menu are easily recognized and understood.... More

We have been to the other Gus gus but went to the one at the Marina and like it much better. My husband had the jumbo shrimp and they were fresh, huge and tasted wonderful. I had the muchaka burritos and they were nummy too! Will return for sure!

I ate at Gus y Gus at the Marina Mazatlan a couple days ago. I ordered the Spaghetti and Shrimp. It just sounded like fun. I was absolutely floored! I'm going to have a hard time describing it. It had a rich, red sauce that was superb. It was sweet, delicate and still a little bit spicy. I found that... More

We were disappointed. Food was so-so. Service was good. They were throwing cleaning solution around as we were being served. Not appetizing. Would not do dinner there again. May try breakfast.

GusGus is right on the main drag, easy to get to, always good food. Sometimes lots of smokers, but since it's open air, this isn't a problem. Reasonably priced and no reservations needed.

Of the two locations, this one is better simply because you can watch the sunset over the marina while dining. The menu is the same as the Golden Zone location, heavy on the seafood but with good options like ribs or a burger if your just not in the mood for Mexican food. The tortilla soup is excellent. If you... More
