Fun and funky restaurant upstairs, with lots of wall and ceiling decorations everywhere. We visited on a Sunday night, when one of the people we met locally was scheduled to sing for an hour or so and had invited us to come over. Food was good, service was friendly and prompt, and prices were very reasonable. This restaurant is just... More

This is a great place to go when you're in Mazatlan. It gets a good cross-section of locals and visitors. Fun staff, great music, good food and drinks and kind of a funky setting my Mazatlan standards. If the stairs freak you out, there is an elevator. Provecho

We always enjoy a stop at Los Zarapes. Food is good, and priced right. The staff is fun and attentive. There is an elevator for those who don't want to tackle the steep stairs. Early dining is preferable (for us) so as to avoid the later crowds. Check to see when they offer live music.

This is a restaurant we Always eat at during our stay. The fresh salsa made table side is great and made with flair. The pork chops with applesauce is excellent as well as the chicken brochettes.

We always take fillets of fish we catch here for preparation. Sunday was no exception. We had them prepare it 4 different ways: Civeche, Deep Fried, Veracruzano, Don Amelio. Exceptional! Table made salsa from roasted ingredients is always the best. Cost for preparing our fish $3.50 USD per person which included vegetables and rice! Cheap!

Perfect made at the table Salsa but chips not great. Both dishes we had were so good. I ate and drank so much it hurt. We were there for lunch but will return on a weekend night. I did not like they said the credit card machine was broken. Really?

This place has a floor show at about 9 pm. Dancers and singers, it is a lot of fun. The food is very good with huge portions. I recommend the macajete dishes that are like a stew and just Delicious. The make the salsa and guacamole at your table. Really good food for pretty cheap.

Living in Southern California I get my fair share of great Mexican food. Los Zarapes was fantastic! The table side molcajete had a great kick and was fabulous. Homemade tortillas, delicious. I highly recommend dining at Los Zarapes.

We visited the Los Zarapes restaurant at the suggestion of our hotel bell boy, and we were so glad we did! The food was excellent and the service was out of this world, extraordinary. It started when we told the waiter that we were from Minnesota, and a few minutes later he came back to the table wearing a Vikings... More
