On a previous trip to Mazatlan, we ate at their breakfast buffet, which was excellent, so on this trip we decided to try it for supper. Several of us ordered the shrimp bucket, which comes with a choice of 3 kinds of shrimp, with fries. The coconut shrimp and breaded shrimp were delicious, but the beer battered shrimp were soggy... It doesn't get much better than this. Good food with an ocean view. El Shrimp bucket has been around for many years and I can definitely see why. Its located in my favorite part of town Olas Altas, right in front of the malecon. Its a great place to people watch and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. It is family friendly... More

We had shrimp wrapped in bacon, fried in garlic and butter, to die for. The beer was cold, the service was just over the top. We were here on an evening tour of the city, this tour is worth it just to eat here. If I ever go back to Mazatlan, I will go here again.

Yesterday I went for lunch, ordered a drink and waited......waiter asked for my order and I waited.......waiter came and asked if I wanted another drink, no, I want my lunch........and waited. Waiter came and I asked again, " where is my order?" And waited. To cut it short, I was the only customer, ordered shrimp tacos (!) and after half... More

Shrimp cocktail was refreshing. Extremely busy street can be either annoying - horns, buses, motorcycles, loud brakes - or entertaining - young people somersaulting, dancing, families walking by. I call it etertaining.

The music man was talented, but not as much as he thought. Way too loud, the volume destroyed any musicality that he had. Letting customers sing was not too successful either. Then he insulted us, instead of staying clear because we were clearly trying hard to ignore him. Serving staff tried. Free appetizer was a half cup of non-descript soup... More

Good food, great service, beach view, live music. We love this place. The Shrimp Boat for two is amazing, but all the shrimp dishes are good. We also like the chicken wings, marlin dip, and guacamole.

Wait staff not helpful, looks run down and food is below average in taste and presentation. There are so many more restaurants in Old Mazatlan. I would rather take my chances eating from a local street cart than eat at the El Shrimp Bucket.

We were taking in the historic city center of Mazatlan and needed a place for lunch. We wanted a place that was on the water and this establishment fit the ticket. It is just across the street from the Malecon (walkway along the shore) with a wonderful view out to the Sea of Cortez. Just after we sat down, the... More

Enjoyed the Shrimp Bucket very much! Waiters very friendly, food good and prices great! Seems very popular and portions are plentiful! We had the shrimp of course and loved it! Even took our pictures in fish bodies! Will come again!
