Dinner on a Tuesday evening with husband and 3 month old daughter. Good service & waiter was attentive. Salsa platter came out with nachos, before we ordered our meal, but beware the spice that lurks in those dips, it does have a bite. We both got the heat and it took a while to subside. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas... More

The molcajetes at El Fogon are such a treat! Love how the meal starts with a variety of salsas, then the options for piping hot bowls of deliciousness are endless! Our table tried octopus, mussels, shrimp and more and all were amazing. I would highly recommend this spot for the atmosphere and unique food...everything I ate in Manzanillo was tasty... More

We have travelled to Manzanillo for eight years for a 3-month winter holiday. El Fogon is an open restaurant across the street so we decided to try it the first year. They have an outdoor 'fogon' that cooks food (molcajete) at 750 deg. F and serves it in locally crafted lava bowls. Our favourite was Molcajete Codorniz--3 fat Quail brought... More

The only thing interesting about this restaurant was the architecture and the nice bathroom. Food was over priced and mediocre.

Most of the restaurants in zlo are either taco or seafood places. Here, you are more likely to see chillies rellenos, enchiladas, soap Azteca etc. Guests I take there love the place, even the Mariachis! They serve a wonderful assortment of salsas for the table to graze on with homemade topitos. It has been around forever, which says a lot... More

Service was good. The thick arrachera steak Was excellent. Will definitely come back again. The place is kind of unique with a comfortable atmosphere.

Molcajete says it all. Excellent in all of its forms. The other menu options are typical and ordinary. An open air dining area. A little pricy.

The setting is nice, very open and airy. Food was just ok, nothing special there. Took too long to get our food. We ordered an appetizer that never came and I ordered an beer during dinner that never arrived either. There was a sewer smell at and around our table which was unappetizing.

Overall: Had a mediocre meal with poor service. Pork shank was dry and Mexican platter was bland.... Atmosphere: Fun for the kids to check it the lagoona. The bathrooms are also good for a laugh! Location: Handy location but on a busy road. However, the noise seems to disappear when inside.
