Prices were cheap and staff were friendly enough. The chicken & cheese tlayuda was big and filling, and tasty enough, but it was pretty plain, and I wouldn't call it great. Decent meal for a good price and beer was only 20 pesos when cheapest we've found elsewhere all week was 25 pesos. Worth a visit.

Highly recommend the tlayuda!! It alone is a whole meal. You will have no regrets, the mole with pollo was also authentic and delicious.

The food here is really yummy. The only thing that they could do better is help out the English speaking tourists. Everything is in Spanish, but the food is excellent. There were 3 different types of hot sauce and go hungry, large portions.

Get off your rear and get out of your hotel and try some authentic Mexican food. Tlayudas are a Oaxaca national dish and it's a oversized tortilla that is dried and then is sort of like a pizza/quesadilla in one it can be filled with chicken, steak along with lettuce, refried beans, Oaxaca cheese and then topped with another tortilla.... I spent a month in Oaxaca and ate a lot of tlayuda. The ones from this restaurant were good and affordable. Service was quick and friendly. We also tried the mole negro with chicken thigh. It was good but lacked the depth of flavor that we found in a number of other mole negros in Oaxaca (including from a woman... More

We have travelled Mexico for many decades but this was out first time to Oaxaca and wanted to ensure we had local fare. TLEYUDAS as exactly that.... and large very thin corn shell roasted over hot coals and filled with almost everything: beans, meats, avocado, lettuce and grilled some more over hot coals (serve like a quesadilla). They are large... More

Based on other reviws and my love of tlayudas, went for early dinner. Initial reception was good. Had a tlayuda mixta and wife a tarte mixta. Both were good flavor, but dry. Service was not so good...indifferent waiter. No side dishes come with except chips and salsa. It was "OK"... but not fabuloso, and I am not picky, so for... More

My wife and our 3 boys will be making this restaurant one of our regular favorites. I like all of the food that we have order on several occasions. Authentic Oaxacan food at its best, with great flavor and price that this one of our top picks.

We usually ask our taxi drivers, where "THEY" like to eat. And this cab driver recommended this place for the best Tlayudas in town... he was not kidding. Tolayuda = similar to a giant Quesadilla with something similar to a sliced steak.
