We walked in about an hour ago. Sat there for 20 minutes without anyone speaking to us. (2 of us speak fluent Spanish) Managed to get 2 menus for the 4 of us. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. Another table came in, got 4 menus, place settings and then when the owner came and took their order, we left. I... More

Great home made rolls, like cinnamon rolls, but also made with chocolate or apple or "cream" depending on day. Also good full breakfasts, fab soft boiled eggs. Real Expresso machine!

The fresh baked cinnamon and other rolls are the best you'll find anywhere. Max makes the dough by hand every day, Italian style. The pancakes are fluffy and filling. Best value by ordering the breakfast combo with fresh fruit and freshly made coffee. The best chilequiles (scrambled eggs on tortilla chips with tomato sauce) in the whole wide world! Service... The Big "Max" (named after the owner) is a huge burger with an order of fries or salad. You either have to have a very healthy appetite or share this plate. Max also has freshly baked items each day. If you are a visitor to Huatulco and looking for English paperbacks, Max also offers a free book exchange.

Max, the owner, is just a wonderful person. He works hard every day to ensure a very nice, clean atmosphere with a great menu, including fresh hot breakfast rolls in chocolate, cream, apple and cinnamon on various days, hot out of the oven. He works late into the night preparing fresh dough, that creates the best pastries. He serves a... More
