Terracotta is conveniently located in the lovely Mision de los Arcos hotel. The food, staff and ambiance is excellent. We dined numerous times during our stay in Huatulco. All the food was delicious, fresh and affordable. So challenging to choose!
We have been coming to Huatulco for the past 6 years and this is our favourite restaurant. Never had a bad meal here. Great fresh fruit juices. A very extensive menus and we have tried many of the offerings. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner....Try the French toast for breakfast! Great service, too.More
We visited Terra-Cotta last year on our trip to Huatulco, and I wrote a very favourable review. We went back this year and had the total opposite experience and as a result, won’t go back.
After being seated, our party waited awhile for a waiter...to approach us. When he did, he wanted to take our drink, appetizer and entree orders at once. We went with the flow, and placed our orders. Our drinks came out relatively quickly, and some appetizers followed. Before those of us who had been served apps could finish, a couple entrees came out. Two people had still not been served their appetizers, and their entrees showed up. Finally all the food arrived and our waiter left the table before anyone could ask for a drink refill and did not come back until we waved him over to clear the table and bring the bill.
Last year we all enjoyed our food, no exceptions. This year, only the person who ordered tortilla soup liked what they had. Some of the group thought their seafood pasta tasted funny, others had dry tacos, and another had a chicken pasta dish that was not very flavourful.
It was like we were in a totally different restaurant this year, between the service and quality of the food, which actually had us laughing as we left. Maybe it was a bad night, but I will not recommend Terra-Cotta.More

I apologize about your dinner experience with us. You were right; we were definitely having a bad night. You dined with us on the night that we forced to suddenly close due to Covid-19 concerns in Huatulco. Our mayor’s office contacted us that same evening...More
The best & ONLY air conditioned restaurant in Huatulco. Great food, great service at a great price. My wife and I ate breakfast & dinner there every day. Very good location on the city square close to everything. Best food in Huatulco hands down!!
Although Terra Cotta is not the only restaurant that we visit while in Huatulco it is without question one of the best. We have eaten there many times over the years and are always impressed with the continual upgrades both in the menu and the...restaurant itself. The menu has a wide selection to choose from and the food is always outstanding. Exceptionally clean, air conditioned and a well trained and friendly staff it has everything you could ask for.More
We opted to dine outside versus indoors in the air conditioning. Nice and breezy with overhead fans. I ordered a cup of tortilla soup and coconut crusted fish; hubby ordered the beef medallions. They asked if I wanted the soup first, I said yes. They...brought my soup at the same time they brought my hubby's dinner. Soup was great, huge portion. I knew if I ate it all I wouldnt be able to eat my dinner. Fish was delicious. Only negative was my husband was done eating before my meal came. I ended up eating after him. They should've held off on his dinner until I was done with my soup. Not a big deal tho. Margaritas were also good. Dessert looked good but we were too full.More
This restaurant was recommended to us so we went with high expectations and were disappointed. The restaurant is very lovely and the menu extensive but our food was bland and nothing special. Not bad just not nearly as good as others we visited and it...was more expensive than the othersMore

It is quite inexpensive to eat there. Restaurants in general are inexpensive in Huatulco, but this one has prices lower than the norm even though the food is excellent and the décor is classy. You can have a meal for two including two drinks each for under 400 pesos (under $30 Cdn.). It is very reasonable.
