Had breakfast here one morning, yummy enmoladas but missing a little spice. Went back in a group for dinner and had a delicious chorizo and cheese tlayuda. The highlight was the corn ice cream! Served frozen in the husk. Sweet and tasty! Tried some chapulines for good measure. Not sure I could eat a whole quesadilla of them but they... More

Great atmosphere and service and a good introduction to the regional specialties. Moderate prices. Mole was excellent but I have to say, I prefer the tlayudas at the local stands around town. Enjoy the restaurant if you are looking for a special dinner with a wide range of choices but a little exploring around town will deliver better quality local... More

Everything was fantastic. Loved the mole and the Tlayudas! Great location downtown. The dessert menu was also wonderful. Try the corn ice cream!

Lovely little restaurant, excellent attentive service offering traditional Oaxacan dishes. My mole negro de pollo was sensational, can't remember what my partner had but he enjoyed & devoured it all. Don't make the mistake my partner did, thinking that the green sauce was guacamole - no no no this salsa Verde es picante (hot sauce)!

We were craving mole so we went to Sabor de Oaxaca. The mole did deliver. Really good! But the tlayuda was just ok. And the Tamal seemed to be reheated/frozen. Maybe it was the low season as were the only ones having dinner. Service was very nice.

We had the Oaxacan platter, everything was very good. The guacamole and black beans were excellent. All of the meats and cheese tasted delicious. I would definitely like to return and try some other menu items. Very easy access and no waiting to be seated for our party of 12. Excellent service and okay rates for a step up from... More

The restaurant is the best one we visited. The food is excellently prepared authentic Oxacan food. Portions are generous, but they did not sacrifice quality in this restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff. Reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed!

If you wanna a great local food experience that's THE place! Actual Oaxaca food and drinks, nice flavors e smells. We order a combo with multiple local foods including the famous Oaxaca cheese. Gorgeous! You can share this combo with 2 or 3 friends, it's huge and the price was quite honest. Amazing experience.

The rustic atmosphere of this beautiful location is amazing, only to be topped by the truly homemade oaxacan dishes! From their corn tortillas to their Amarillo de Pollo...it is fresh and so very flavorful!
