This is a small place off the beaten path. Our driver Baldómero Gomez Mojica (who is excellent and highly recommended) told us about this place. It is a small family run business, lagoon tours and Restaurant. We went early in the day about 11:00 AM and we talked about what we would like to eat when we would come back... More

Los Bou Bous Restaurant and Laguna/Jungle tour is located just as you are getting into Barra Vieja on the lagoon side. It is a family business with Felix and his wife Elsa, their son Ivan and his wife, and their daughter Berenice. The day starts with a lagoon/jungle tour on a pontoon boat, through the manglares. Their are many different... More

We wanted to visit the lagoon differently so we got in touch with captain Felix. We went on his pontoon for a 1.30 hr. And he told us the story of this marvelous protected area. Afterwards, we had the best robalo at his little restaurant where his wife cooks. Don't miss it.

Wow. This place was such a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Ramone, recommended this place as being a one in a lifetime experience to truly see "local" Acapulco culture. He couldnt have recommended a better experience. They took us on a boat tour to see the Lagoon, captained bt Felix. On the tour we went fishing, we saw many different... More

We ate here as part of a lagoon tour and really enjoyed it. We had pretty basic food - guacamole, sopes, rice, beans, and sea bass caught in the lagoon with a red sauce. All of it was really great, though, better than the restaurants in town, especially the fish. We ate until we were stuffed and were a bit... More

We read about Bou Bou and went for a visit with high expectations. It's hard to find but when you walk in it's beautifull and very relaxing on the water, under a shade tree with a nice breeze. The guacamole was good and the beer was cold. We should have stopped there. We ordered garlic shrimp, fish (supposedly mahi mahi)... More

We read about Bou Bou on here and decided to go check it out. An interesting drive to find it but we were warmly welcomed. Very laid back and friendly people. Excellent guacamole. Ordered a variety of plates...mahi mahi, garlic shrimp, and chicken. The chicken was excellent, the fish average, and the shrimp were honestly the worst I've ever eaten... More

Baldo took us the visit Los Bou Bous and Felix took us out on a lagoon tour with his son Victor. Victor jumped off the boat and picked lillies for my wife, daughters and grand-daughter which Felix made into lily necklaces for them. When we got back to their home, La Senora had made us a meal of red snapper... More

After a tour of the lagoon with Felix, we enjoyed a delicious fish meal prepared by his wife. The fish is fresh from the lagoon and was one of the highlights of our trip.
