My Acapulquena friend took me to this charming restaurant on my last morning in her city. We had a wonderful breakfast there, seated on the outdoor patio that (sort of) looks out on the ocean. The decor is charming and the food is wonderful. We had chalupas, quesdillas and gorditas, guyanaba drinks and the cafe a la olla -- a... More

Dined their twice this season and found the service and food to be great. I ordered the shrimp dishes on both occasions and Stash ordered fish. Both were well prepared.

We had a really great meal and tasty cocktails in the lovely El Jaguar restaurant. Our drinks were Pina coladas made with Midori, up there with the best we have ever had. I had a fish filet with delicious ajillo, my companion had a dish that the waiter referred to as Carnitas, although it was called something different on the... More

Only ate here once and wasn't impressed. Mexican food. Big menu. Service okay. Probably would not go back.

Although the service and ambiance was quite nice the food really let us down and was very underwhelming. The fish ceviche was in a thick tomato sauce that tasted like it was from a jar. Very unusual & more like a seafood cocktail. We also ordered fish in chilli and oil which also really missed the mark and lacked any... More

Three of us went to El Jaguar today for the first time. We all had the Pozole and we all truly enjoyed it. We had the buffet and there were 7 different pozoles to try. As well you receive a plate of botana's.....everything you need to build a great meal. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The price of the... More

I would highly recommend the Jaguar to anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area. It was a lovely place to eat, with ocean breezes wafting through. My husband and I weren't into eating in the glass enclosed air conditioned boxes that a lot of restaurants are in Acapulco, so we really enjoyed the open ambiance of the... More

Over all, this traditional place in downtown Acapulco serves traditional mexican food with an authentic flair, with over 7 kinds of pozoles, a tasty corn dish, and some great classics like mole, and an assortment of meats, you cant go wrong. Prices are acceptable, and the servings are generous, the restaurant in itself is nothing to write home about, but... More

The service is great; they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Thursday's live entertainment starts in the afternoon and Ricardo Arcos plays the electronic piano; everyone sings until 11pm. A fun way to enjoy real Acapulco.
