It's a curious quirk about Acapulco dining that so few restaurants (not counting informal beach and street kitchens) offer quality, land-based (as opposed to sea-based) Mexican food. El Cabrito is one of the few, and it's a joy. Cabrito -- spit-roasted goat -- is the signature offering, of course. I skipped that but chose chile en nogada, a special-occasion dish... More

Ten years ago my daughter and my nephew were delighted with the Mexican dishes and the warm tortillas were served in a nice container. I was just as pleased when I returned 6 years ago with my husband. The chef/owner's standards must have changed and we were disappointed when we visited this month. The warm tortillas were served in a... More

The place for goat. Grilled on spits. If you don't like goat, they have many other chooses. Service is good. Can sit inside or outside.

I found this place in Lonely Planet. It wasn't a long walk from my hotel. I've had cabrito before, but many years ago, and thought I'd give it another try. The inside of the restaurant was cool and relaxing on a hot evening, and I enjoyed a couple cocktails. When it came time to order, I thought maybe the cabrito... More

My wife and I were in Acapulco 6 years ago and we ate here twice. The first time I was hesitant to eat the Cabrito but I tasted my wives dinner and had to go back again to order it myself. While booking our trip to Acapulco all we talked about was this restaurant and couldn't wait to have the... More

Service was tip top and the goat was excellent. Tampiquena was good but under seasoned. (Mole enchilada was to die for). Tortillas were authentic and tasty. Service was impeccable. Best flan I have had in Acapulco this trip. Would recommend if you want a nice quiet dinner with good food.

We went to this restaurant, because it had great reviews, but honestly, we didn't like it that much. Our waiter took a long time taking our orders and bringing us the check, although the restaurant wasn't very full at that time. The food was okay, but neither of us was crazy about it and one of us ordered a filet... More

Always my go-to restaurant; the place I will visit more than once a week on my Acapulco visits. There is not a bad dish on the menu. Even if you have not tried the mole; when they bring the very fresh chips and salsa prior to your meal, be sure and ask for a dish of the mole. You will... More

Wow, half a chicken covered in delicious mole sauce, they give you a bib so you don't get it on your clothes. Great service, we all enjoyed our meals and will be going back.

This trip I made two visits to what has become an annual stop. I had my two favorite dishes--enchiladas in mole Oaxacan and chili en nogada. As usual, both dishes were delicious. One night I had vanlla ice cream with chocolate sauce and the second time one of our friends insisted we all try the coconut ice cream. That treat... More

Food is fresh, fast, and delicious and the service is great too. Soups and fish fillet are excellent, and they have a large selection of drinks served in Mexican styled glasses. Located on a main street, you can eat inside or outside.
