This is a very traditional restaurant in Saltillo but it looks old, and the menu is so large, that to make a dish selection is not easy.

You can park behind, there is a lot of place. The tables are round which is original and you can be 5-6-7 around and you see everybody. The service takes some time but if you have time, it s ok. The food is quite elaborated, I went there 2-3 times and it s was always very good. The design is... More

This place will transport to the past. Slow food. Old recipes, actually classics I would say. But this doesn't mean a bad experience, hoy will experience full of nostalgia. The food is fine, quite pricy but if you know what to order, you will get great things without splurge: arroz, huérfano, enchiladas ATM and maybe some mushrooms. Service is quite... More

Food not as good as it was in the past. I understood it was great in the past. I have eaten here maybe 5 times. I would not go on my dime, but had group meetings here. It seems to carry on due to the left over reputation.

Visiting friends in Saltillo for the holidays, we wanted to take them to dinner for their anniversary. They selected La Canasta which was a restaurant my wife and I had not been to before. First the positive: It is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely patio and an interior oozing atmosphere. The service was terrible. There were 6 of us... More

A good sampling of northern mexican cuisine. Really enjoyed it. Make sure you make time for this in your visit to Saltillo.

Lost some of the old days luster but the classics are still there, the potato peels and the "Huerfano" rice were outstanding. The rest of the food was really good too, not to mention the service.

This place was recommended so our expectations were quite high. It is located right on Boulevard Venustiano Carranza about 3 kms from centro. Has some outside seating but can be quite noisy as it's right on the boulevard. The restaurant was not at all busy so it was easy to have full attention of our waiter. He was very helpful... More
