Every day the restaurant flies in fish from Baja California so the tuna and the yellow tail and the red snapper are all fantastic. We have eaten them as sashimi and as sushi. It's great fish. With soup and rice and sashimi you have a really excellent meal. All other dishes are fusions and they look good but that is... More

Steak houses and mexican Fusion restaurants are the place to go in this city. We went here to "break" from the cabrito and steak. The restaurant is NOT japanese. it's an Americanized fusions of japanese and peruvian. Sushi is ok, as is sashimi. Don't expect true japanese cuisine. It´s a mere fusion of american style japanese with peruvian (better part... More

This place has an excellent location. That's all really. Dark. No space between tables. Is NOT Japanese. It has an American version of Japanese food. Overpriced drinks and food not at The standard of real Japanese food. They don't have a family area. On a Saturday, is not different than a Mc Donald's with children dancing around. Slow service. Very... More

Peruvian and Japanese food fusion. The best are the Chilean fish and peruvian nigiris with a touch of Anticucho flavour. Always combine with a Sake, if you dont know one, ask for the non filtered sake "nigori", its sweet and a cloudy white color. No always have a fresh fish, ask for the best ones.

In general, good food, good drinks ( they know how to make a menjul !!!), not common in these times. Nice place, nice music, just an non relaxed atmosphere as it is a hip and pose prone place.

This place was a great surprise. I’ve been plenty of times in this city and usually try typical prime steak houses. However, Señor Tanaka was way above my expectations. Everything in the menu is great. I was a bit disappointed with the kushiage, but the rest of the menu was an extraordinary surprise. The location is great for having dinner... More

When it comes to Japanese food I'm a bit picky. Tanaka offers nice food and services. However the food is a little bit customised for western taste. It's nothing to blame though considering I'm in Monterrey. So if you are looking for a Japanese restaurant in town, this is a great place to go.

Good food, good ambient. Will be back. I think that food is a little bit overpriced but the location and the ambient of the place compensate for it.
