The 'caldo de res' ir beef soup is very delicious and the italian spaguetti is good. Also they serve real lemonade!

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday - the "meal of the day," which comes with soup, a main course, and a dessert. The soups were OK, but the main courses were... "x", as they say here. The tuna fish empanadas had mostly corn, hardly any tuna fish, and LOTS of oil from the deep fryer. The cochinita pibil... More

The portion was HUGE, price is excellent, & the quality is perfect. The freshly made corn tortillas was the cherry on top. I highly recommend. The service was bumpy, but because they were busy, but the food totally made up for it. Muchísimas gracias! Buenísima las comida. Si voy a regresar!

I'm from Monterrey and this was the first time visiting Palax. The place was full so I thought the food would be great, but I was wrong. Yes, there's a lot to choose from, but the food is bland at best. There are many better places to eat regional food in Monterrey (at the same price). I think this was... More

Was in the new restaurant in San Nicolas, the waitress took more than 40 to bring sodas and another 30 minutes to get meals. Prices are normal for Mexican average restaurant. Won't be back for sure.

Last sunday I went to Obispado with friends and we were really hungry so we stopped at Palax for a dinner. I had liver with onion (higado encebollado), delicious. Also shared tortilla española (like omelett with potatoes and other veggies), yumm!

I had breakfast meal on Sunday, the place was full. They serve Mexican dishes, including the regional "Machacado" meat, with eggs, "Chilaquiles", etc. The restaurant has a small parking lot for about 15 vehicles but there is an alternate parking lot just around the corner, very convenient. It is a good place for having not expensive and very familiar food.... More

The place is not so pretty or updated. The service is slow and most probably you will find it packed. It is a good option for breakfast. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes including divorced eggs, machacado, chilaquiles, etc. This restaurant is cheap and consistent.

For early breakfast or late night stop prior to snore...Chilaquiles con pollo and Huevos Divorciados are to die for. There are other several typical plates but I always come back for these two fav one´s since 25 years ago. Also "Tacos de Lengua guisada" Never fails. Yum!
