Came for the Cabrito (Baby Goat). Expected great things based on all the reviews. Unfortunately the goat we had was tough and stringy, though the flavor was good. The restaurant is very large and very popular with the locals. It is noisy and therefore does not lend itself well to business dinners. The service was excellent. The selection of beer... More

Good food and the music is amazing. I really enjoyed my time there. Dessert was delicious and the appetizers were so good.

Went there at peak hours for lunch full house..and the service was fantastic, promptly served and all dishes met and exceeded expectations. Strongly recommend this place, a little on the high side of prices but worth it.

I come back quite often in this restaurant. For me it is one of the best one to eat cabrito (baby goat) which is a specialty of Monterrey. Service is fast, meat is good. A place to visit. If some claimed that they are Rey del cabrito, Gran Pastor is the emperor!

Excellent food, great service. A little expensive compared with the average restaurant. Definitly a must if you come to Monterrey and you want to taste regional "Cabrito" (Goatling) meal.

When in Monterrey if you want to have a real taste of the "Comida Regiomontana" (local food), do not hesitate and visit El Gran Pastor, where you will be received as if you were at home, and they will attend you kindly and efficiently. Not only the "cabrito" (baby goat) is delicious but also the rib-eye, the salad bar, and... More

This place is a must for regional food. You won't find the traditional mexican flavors but the food for Monterrey which is terrific! It might not be cheap, but really worth it. Service is overall good.

Went for lunch with a large group and not only was the food great, the service was excellent. We had some beans with pork, guacamole, queso flamiado as apatizers. All was delicious. The salsa and chips not too spicey. The cabrito and carne asada were soooo tasty that it was hard to stop eating. Strongly recommend these items. Of course... More
