Just adding my grain of salt to this locale. All their tacos are great but the asada tacos are their specialty. The meat is flavor full, well seasoned and the servings compliment the taco. A must if you’re looking for awesome asada tacos!
They have great tacos, quite the best in Tijuana, but watch out for owners and sons, very uncomfortable, they’re watching Your every move, it’s quite unsettling that you’re being watched as if your going to steal or walk off without paying your tab. I’ve been...there on numerous occasions with clients and every time I have felt unsettled by their hawkish vigilance. Other than that the carne asada taquero looks out and make sure that I’m tended to. I would consider Tijuana the taco capital of the world having been all over the country and each place having its own taco style presentation.More
Absolutely awesome tacos. Tijuana is home to many excellent taco places, but Tacos El Franc is one you have to find time to enjoy. Not a bad taco on the menu.
We went to TJ for the afternoon to find the best tasting tacos. I asked two separate uber drivers which place had the best tacos and both said Tacos el Franc. We stopped there last and it did not disappoint. The adobada (meat cooking on...the spit) was incredible with perfect flavoring and crust. The carne asada was tender with a perfect crust and smokey taste. So delicious!! Best part was that 8 tacos cost $16.50. Cucumber and radishes included with the table. If I were to make a recommendation, it would be to add cotija (or similar) cheese to the tacos. Only cheese available was mozzarella. We ordered tacos as prepared, no special requests. We left the restaurant at about 4 pm and the line was starting to wind around the corner. Loved this place! We'll definitely be back!!More
One has to quite simply adore this excellent taco place in TJ, just across the Ibis Rio Hotel. Already the crowds waiting for a table are a nice reassurance that the place is going to be good. If hearty, steaming, savory Cabeza and meaty tacos...is your thing, you’ll just love this place. Great Aguas Frescas are offered as well as cheese quesadillas and all sorts of other picks like Pastor, and other equally delicious fillings are on offer. The lovely waitress was attentive and had a very pleasant way about her too. Highly recommended…More
The price seemed fair for what you get, I tried the suadero and asada tacos, and both tasted as if the beef was of good quality. The combination of beef, beans and guacamole create and unbeatable flavor. The service was super fast, they close late...night and the place overall felt secure. Woud strongly recommend in spite of not being the cheapest around.More
Whoever says this is a big hit with locals, not so true. Place it's a huge success cause the location is to close to the border. Yes, tacos are good but too expensive!
We stopped by to eat after noticing the amount of people who were waiting for tacos, and it was probably the best decision hands down. Customer services was prompt and friendly very attentive to what we needed. I cant wait to go back!
I come to TJ about once or twice a year. I come to Francs every single time I go. Once on the way into Mexico and once on the way out of Mexico. It’s located about 3 minutes on the Mexican border near a Costco...and the famous Tacos el Gordo. A little secret that the locals told us... when Francs is closed everyone goes to the #2 spot El Gordo. But when Francs is open then no one, I mean literally no one, is at El Gordos. That’s how good Francs is! They are the most amazing tacos and are easily accessible to LA and San Diego locals. I usually get 2 Tacos de Asada, 2 Tacos de Pastor, 1 Taco de Lengua and 1 Taco de Tripe. I usually eat everyone else’s leftovers too! Also there’s a Costco and many liquor stores down the street if you get where I’m going with that. I know you’ll enjoy this spot!More
This place is a big hit with the locals, and if I was a local, I'd eat here all the time. It is big and crowded and smokey, with not one but two al pastor stations slicing up the crispy flavorful pork non stop. I...had to have a couple of those, and also enjoyed a trip and a carne asada. All were ridiculously good. Tijuana is a taco mecca, and this place may well be its sacred stone. The tacos are huge, the prices are low, and the flavor is off the charts. If you are looking for a truly authentic Mexican experience, you will not regret a meal (or three) at tacos el franc.More
My favorite tacos in Playas de Tijuana. When you are visiting and want the Best Tacos El France is it. Great menu excellent service. Enjoy!
Well, that title may make you roll your eyes, but for about $1.25 each I had some fabulous tacos! The place is crowded and noisy, it's big and still I hardly could find a place to sit. It's really great because all the cooking and...assembling is happening right there where you can watch it while you eat. I highly recommend this place!More
The place had a lot of customers, which usually is a good indicator of the food, but not here. We tried them all; Asada, Adobada, Cabeza, Suadero, Lengua and Tripa. While I am a fan of guac, having my taco de asada smothered in it...was new for me (I think it may have been to cover up the tasteless meat). None of the six different types of tacos would top our list as being a go to place in TJ, in fact we will not ever come back here. Tacos Aaron or Tacos El Gordo (a block away) are miles ahead in taste. As we looked around we noticed that Franc’s seems to be more of a hang out for the middle class and not so much a place to go for good authentic, flavorful tacos.More
Too overcrowded and food was bland. excellent customer service regardless. order Asada instead of adobada.
