If you are looking to experience the new trend in Baja this is one of the best places. In a more casual atmosphere, you are on your way to a different adventure. Very different fro what you have seen it is really recomended! Try it!!!
I had pizza and a glass of the house red. The pizza was excellent as was the wine. However the bill was over 300 pesos(without the tip) which is somewhat excessive for Tijuana. On the plus side, service was excellent and there were leftovers (which...is only a plus if you have a use for leftovers). Probably would not go back again.More
Very good selection, quality of the ingredients is high, the salads worth to try or at least share so you don’t miss them. Meat, fish, whatever you ask you’ll be satisfied.
I’ll would note just a bit improvement in the roof is needed, it’s a...pity to loose a table because of leaking.More
Tried the Mixto, Arrachera con mole and duck pizza and they were all very good. Tried the whole chicken and it was good. The octopus appetizer was excellent. The desserts are big and the banana dessert cooked in the oven was really nice. Value is...not bad. Old mechanic's shop setting was a fresh of fresh air just be ready. This was actually a mechanic's shop once upon a time, this is not a fake setting.More
I’ve been here four or five times. Amazing octopus and mushroom skillets. Fun, creative pizzas (try the one with lomo and goat cheese!) and pastas. Good meat dishes. Lots to try. Ingredients are fresh and flavorful. They give you bread with salsas - the one...made with dried chiles in oil is especially good. Very good wine list. I highly recommend Casta Cardón, by the glass or bottle. Ganso Negro is my second pick. Both complex and full bodied - ideal to accompany full flavored foods.
The main dining room is large and dark; there is also a front room that gets better air circulation (better for when it is hot out).
Service is knowledgeable and professional. Don’t hesitate to ask wait staff for guidance!
I believe this is the same chef as La Querencia, a if not the key figure in defining and promoting “baja med” cuisine - you can’t go wrong!More
Very good food in a relaxed ambiance.
Grate and original Food, Good and large salads, Try the Beet Salad with goat Cheese, Tong appetizer, Fish is grate, and the pork ribs with light Mole on the side is delicious.
You can also have Local beers...from Aguamala, original Mezcals and local crafted Gin and Vodka Enmienda 18.
It was so good that we went twice during our trip. We loved their salads, yes as simple as that can be, they were great. But what really made us come back was the duck machaca pizza which I haven't seen anywhere. I only wish...they will have a bigger wine selection by the glass, being in BC they could have something that is at least medium quality and not only the basics.More
I found the food to be all around good at El taller. I especially liked the beets with goat cheese. The pizzas were also good and the service was attentive. My only complaint is that the wine list is quite limited especially in terms of...good wines from BC but in the end we just went across the street to the liquor store and paid the corkage fee.More
