Chef Johnny is the Best!... Had a delicious meal and dessert for our family reunion (about 30 people). The view was perfect, the service was excellent and all at a perfect price... will come back soon, to taste other delicious meals.

On all counts this was an excellent experience, the food was top quality, the service perfectly timed to our leisurely meal and conversation, the sunset view inspiring and the price a pleasant surprise for the quality of the meal. I was pleased that the atmosphere was quiet and unhurried. Chef Jonny came out for a chat, and made great recommendations... More

We stop here every time we pass through Primo Tapia on our way to or from Ensenada. Julio, the bartender, is such a great guy and makes an amazing margarita with fresh citrus. Their Mexican beer selection is awesome which I enjoy. We always play a game of pool and try to catch the sunset if timing is right -... More

We stopped here for breakfast while in Rosarito last week. It was so good we stopped there again the next morning. Chef Johnny is an excellent cook. He came put the second day thanked us for coming back and took our order. After our meal he came and chatted with us for a bit. He puts love into the dishes... More

The map for this is wrong. It really is a drag to drive all over trying to find a place that is on the wrong place on the map. When I finally did find it the food was bad and the service was very very slow. I don't recommend this place.

I have been going to the halfway house for 15 years now. Johnnie is an awesome chef and a very kind fellow. I am chuckling at some of these other reviews complaining about price. In my opinion, Johnnie is a world-class chef. He is trained in French and Spanish cuisine and also has taught other chefs. We consistently go there... More

We came here for lunch but just ended up getting beers and looking elsewhere. Really cool little hole in the wall right on the water, but the prices are average to high for the US. The complementary salsa was great. Most dishes are $10-20. They do have a kids menu.

The Fillet Mignon in wine and mushroom sauce is unbelievable. The meat was so tender you could cut it with your fork.

I have made two visit the halfway house and have been disappointed both times. The first was last winter to attend a musical event by an exceptional pianist.... too bad the food was exceptionally BAD and service worse. In addition the fireplace did not draft correctly and the dining room was filled with smoke. My second attempt was a bit... More
