Pasta y Basta

Ratings and reviews

Certificate of Excellence2017 - 2019 Winner

Location and contact

Chef Christian Gritti (professionally trained in San Pellegrino, Italy) serves a traditional Northern Italian Menu in Baja California. All of our pastas are handmade fresh! We are sure you will be able to taste the difference between fresh pasta and dry pasta. We imported a pizza oven from Europe and make pizza the true Italian way. The chef grew up making pizza in his Dad's pizza shop. We serve wine from an Italian vineyard in the Guadalupe Valley, Villa Montefiori & Casa Magoni. We hope you will feel like family in our cozy location. Come and experience a taste of Italy in Baja!

An excellent restaurant/trattoria with authentic Italian dishes and not your spaghetti and meatballs dish. Christian the owner and chef is there to great everybody. Once you have eaten pizza in Rome, it's difficult to find it somewhere else. This is the place to eat pizza...More

Outstanding warm friendly service, making you feel comfortable the minute you walk in the door. We shared a carpaccio (the only thing I would not recommend, the beef was too thick not shaved and thin as it should be), salad Della casa with arugala, apples,...More

When you are in Rosarito the idea of grabbing an Italian dinner isn’t always the first thing you think of… This place is good enough to challenge that notion. I live in Rosarito and visit Pasta y Basta on a weekly basis. The chef (Christian)...More

The restaurant is Italian food. Very expensive for Mexico and the waiters were very snooty. Thought it was geared for Americans with American prices, food wasn’t that good and the waiters thought they were great. Tried Lasagna and pizza. Have had better here in Rosarito.

Just have to say that I was in for a surprise! The Carbonara was exquisite! I really loved it. And 100 agree not the generic taste of Giuseppis or Olive garden! Home cooking! Loved the ambience and Italian music! And Chef you can never please...More
