Walked by the place and it had wagon wheels all over, looked inside and it seemed like a jungle. Wasn't open at that time so went back later. They have a lady that makes homemade tortillas, it was a steakhouse but we got really good Mexican food. I got the taquitos and my daughter got bean and cheese burritos so... More

The first thing you will be impressed with is the ambiance. It is lush and rustic with dripping water throughout like a forest over took a traditional ranch house. Unlike many restaurants in Rosarito, it's clean and pretty roomy. We ate about 6pm and as we were leaving it really filled up. As the food goes, overall it is very... More

My husband I have eaten at El Nido several times, most recently in June 2016 and we love the crazy interior with waterfalls and lots of wood! The food is good, drinks great and just all around a great place to have lunch or dinner in Rosarito Beach, MX.

The food and service at El Nido is exceptionally good, everything is authentic style rancho style cooking from the nice lady's hand making tortillas on the open hearth too the awesome steaks they cook. There is also several fish and shrimp dishes along with more traditional Mexican cuisine.

My husband and I dined here last week. It had been many, many years and we were excited to be back. My husband order the Asada and I had the house special shrimp. It was good but not quite as I remember it. The fresh tortillas were amazing and when you wrapped them around the beans, shrimp and salsa, it... More

Let me point out that the ambiance is great and if they didn't make homemade tortillas they would have nothing going for them except they were conveniently centrally located in downtown Rosarito. They are way overpriced and the portions are a joke. Seriously they gave us old avocado mixed up in the guacamole, it was gross! Mediocre mexican food at... More

First of all, when I see someone making homemade tortillas, my childhood memories begin to overwhelm me. The plate ordered was a combination seafood and chile rellenos with fresh cooked beans and spanish rice. As we say, "over the lips, through the gums, look out stomach here it comes." This is genuine homemade chow and, boy, was my stomach one... More

I've been going here for years and have had great food. The last three visits have been mediocre at best. Steaks were overcooked two visits - medium ribeye should NOT be stiff and dry! Salad lacked my favorite quail egg one visit, and potato was underdone twice... waitstaff had to be waved down, and it was not a busy night.... More
